1 AROGYAVARAM MEDICAL CENTRE, AROGYAVARAM HEALING MINISTRY WEEK Report from 12 th to 19 th February It is indeed my privilege to report on the Healing Ministry week celebrations at Arogyavaram Medical Centrefrom 12 th to 19 th February The theme for the Healing Ministry Week this year is: Partnering Together in the Healing Ministry of the Church Friends of AMC from Denmark, Mrs.IngerMunck&Mr. Hans actively participated in all the activities of the Healing Ministry week. The week started with Worship by AMC Choir at St. Luke s Church Arogyavaram.

All the Staff and Students of Arogyavaram Medical Centre went on a procession tost.

The Senior Staff participated in conducting the Order of Service. Rev. A.I.

He emphasized on the Ministry of the Church and Partnership.

Rev. A.I. David Principal of Calvin Institute of Theology delivered a meaningful and powerful message on the theme. He emphasized on the Ministry of the Church and Partnership. He said we should build bridges in healing relationship and it is the responsibility of the Church to bring healing to all. He also said as healed community we need to become partners in bringing healing. The Staff & Students participated in the Holy Communion Service at St. Luke s Church.

3 On Monday 13 th February the Morning devotion was held near the foundation stone of AMC.Rev. DevanandSubbudi Presbyter of Rayalaseema Diocese delivered the word of God on the theme God the Healer. He said if we obey His commandments God will not allow any of the illnesses which He permitted on Isralites.

They also visited the Sick & aged people around Arogyavaram on the same evening. On Tuesday, 14 th February the worship service was held in front of the Administrative Block of AMC. Rev. P.D.S.J. Benhur, the treasurer of Rayalaseema Diocesedelivered the word of God on Commissioned to Heal. He exhorted on Nazereth Manifesto and how disciples are called to preach & heal the sick people. He has also appreciated the service rendered by the Staff of AMC and encouraged them to go ahead, Greater will be your Reward in Heaven.

5 In the evening the capping ceremony was held in the Recreation Hall of AMC, and the 1 st year B.Sc.(N) students were commissioned to heal in a Divine Lamp-lighting service.

6 On Wednesday, 15 th February CMAI Day of prayer the worship was conducted near the Globe the centre place of the Campus. Rev. U. Solomon, Senior Divisional Chairman from RayalaseemaDiocece delivered a powerful message on the sufferings of Job and the cry for the healing.

7 Later Dr. B. Wesley spoke about the Christian Medical Association of India and various programs and the Ministry of CMAI in our Country. The Staff prayed for the leadership and all the sections and Activities of CMAI. The TB Patients were given a special lunch by the Staff of AMC.

On Thursday, 16 th February the morning devotions were held in College of Nursing. Rev.

8 In the evening from p.m. a retreat was held for the Senior Staff and Students in which all the delegates actively participated in discussion about the theme. Thomas Prasad Rao, Presbyter at JCM church, Madanapalli preached a meaningful sermon on the theme Ïnstruments on Healing Ministry.He spoke about the prayers offered in faith which will bring healing and the witness of the Samaritan woman who brought healing to the whole community.

9 In the afternoon the Director,Senior Staff and Students visited the Prison Madanapalli. Mrs.SheelaWesley, Principal College of Nursing preached the word of God to the Prisoners and the Doctors of AMC conducted a Medical Check up for the Prisoners.

10 On Friday, 17 th February the morning devotions were held in front of the ReseachLaboratory. Rev. Isaac Vara Prasad, the Secretary of RayalaseemaDiocese delivered God s word - Body of Christ in Healing Ministry. He gave a meaningful message and emphasized that all believers are God s channels of holistic healing and every Christian is a member of Christ s body. In the evening the Staff & Students visited the nearby village Church (St. John s Church, Gudisavaripalli) and conducted Health Camp in the Church premises.

11 Some of the Staff Members also visited the sick people in the Congregation. On Saturday, 18 th February the morning devotions were held in Olive Garden in AMC Campus. Rev. Jalada Prasad emphasized that the prayers offered in Jesus name and the unity in faith and dedication will enable members of the church to reflect the Healing Ministry.

12 On Sunday, 19 th February the morning worship service is conducted in AMC Chapel. Rev. John Rout from Vellore preached a powerful sermon on the theme of the Healing Ministry week. We thank and praise God for the wonderful things that He has done through various activities at Arogyavaram Medical Centre. We hope and visualise for a meaningful partnership with the local Church and the Church in Rayalaseema Diocese. Dr. B. Wesley, Director
