The Holy Spirit, the Breath of God, moves and creates in us, beyond us, God at work in our lives and the world. Come, O Holy Spirit, come! The Holy Spirit is Gift and Grace, the abundance of God s presence to be received and shared. The Holy Spirit is Teacher and Wisdom, revealing the one shared language of God s reign for all God s children. Come, O Holy Spirit, come! Forgive us our closed minds, which barricade themselves with the familiar, resisting your Word which is always new. Forgive our closed eyes, which fail to see the needs of your world, blind to opportunities of service and love. Forgive our closed hands, which clutch our gifts and resources for our use alone. 7 Words of Institution The Communion To be served communion, please come forward as guided by the ushers, exiting on your left and returning on your right. You will be invited to take the bread and dip it in the cup. Gluten free elements will be available on each plate. Feel free to pause and reflect after receiving the elements. To be served in the pew, please speak to an usher. The Reformed Church in America welcomes baptized children to receive the sacrament of communion. Hope Church encourages parents/guardians to decide whether they wish their children to partake of the sacrament. Parents/guardians are asked to accompany their children forward, indicating if they wish their children to receive the bread and cup.
