1 God is Creator. Colossians 1:16, For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth... All things were created through Him and for Him. God is holy. 1 Samuel 2:2, There is none holy like the Lord: for there is non besides You; there is no rock like our God. God is love. John 3:16a, For God so loved the world. God is in Heaven. 2 Sin is anything I think, say, or do that breaks God s laws. 1 John 3:4, Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. James 2:10, For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. All have sinned. Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. 3 Jesus is God the Son. John 10:30, I and the Father are one. Jesus is perfect. 1 Peter 2:22, He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in His mouth. Jesus is my Substitute. 2 Corinthians 5:21, For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Hebrews 9:22b, Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Jesus is alive! 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4, Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. 4 I have to choose to believe that Jesus, and only Jesus, could and did take my punishment for sin. Acts 16:31, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. I must admit I have done wrong and deserve to be punished. Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I must believe that Jesus died in my place and took my punishment. Romans 5:8, But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I have to choose to make God the Boss of my life and accept His gift of forgiveness as the only way to have a relationship with Him. Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace you have been saved through faith. 5 God has promises for His children. Hebrews 13:5b-6, For He has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we can confidently say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me? God wants Christians to GROW. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. We can GROW to be like Jesus in several ways. G - Go to church and Bible Club. (Hebrews 10:25) R - Read your Bible and Pray. (1 Peter 2:2, Matthew 21:22) O - Obey God. (James 1:22) W - Witness to others. (Mark 16:15) Christians must confess sin and make things right. 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
