13 If someone asked you to describe worship at Ingomar Church what words would you use? The highest number of responses were: Welcoming Friendly, Caring, Comfortable, Happy, Warm, Loving, Open Uplifting Meaningful, Fulfilling, Inspirational Awesome Amazing, Terrific, Wonderful, Fantastic, Exciting, Great Energetic Active, Lively, Vibrant, Enlightening Other comments in significant numbers included: Beautiful Connecting Engaging Contemporary Traditional Family Oriented A few not so positive comments: A bit flat Little too stiff Boring
14 If you could change one thing about worship what would it be? A lot of singular suggestions but no real patterns, other than quite a few comments regarding music. (More traditional hymns, more contemporary music, bells, musical performances, singing, praise music, sacred classical, music, soloist, orchestra) A few of the comments: Eliminate shaking hands, especially during flu season More energy and more life in the service, dramas, creative, variety of style, testimonies, interaction, music Better sound system Communion in the pews more often Children s message and children s choir Don t cram too much into the service Lay involvement More Youth Sundays Sermons could be shorter, deeper intellect, less fluff, less personal agenda, more succinct, teach more
15 If there is anything about our worship you would never change, what is it? The highest number of responses were: Music (all services) Organ, Praise Band, Bells, church bells, traditional hymns, contemporary music, would like more Sermons Message, Scripture, Pastors, good preaching from the Scripture Other comments Creeds, the Lord s Prayer Communion David, Don, Erica (mentioned quite favorably several times) Scripture readings Prayer Flowers Traditions Warmth of the members Traditional Worship Contemporary Worship
