We are grateful you ve joined us and pray you will experience God s presence today. We invite all newcomers to take one of the red Welcome bags (available at each entrance) and to join us after the service for refreshments. Questions? Ask anyone wearing their nametag on a red lanyard. Children and youth are full participants in all our worship services at St Clement s and always welcome to sit with you. Every Sunday, we also offer excellent, staffed leadership in our Nursery, Children, and Youth ministries. Children and Youth enjoy their own dedicated programming during the first half of the service, joining the wider community at Communion, our family meal. Our youngest members may remain in the Nursery for the entire service. Nursery (ages 0-3): Located just up the stairs and to the right. Feel free to stay with your child until s/he feels comfortable. Please pick up your child here after the service. Children (JK-Grade 5): Located past the Welcome Hub in the Briar Hill Room. Kids do a sticker sign-in at our colourful Welcome table. Youth (Grades 6-12): Located at the top of the stairwell past Canon Nicholson Hall. Junior and Senior Youth gather in the youth room

Reading Matthew 13:31-33, read by Colette Grassie Reader Reader A reading from the Gospel According to Matthew. 31 Jesus put before them another parable: The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; 32 it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches. 33 He told them another parable: The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened. The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls; 46 on finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it. 47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and caught fish of every kind; 48 when it was full, they drew it ashore, sat down, and put the good into baskets but threw out the bad. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 51 Have you understood all this? They answered, Yes. 52 And he said to them, Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a household who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old. We are sorry for our sins and turn away from them. For the sake of your Son who died for us, forgive us, cleanse us and change us. 7 Discover Giving Back to God We invite you to come forward as we circle around the table up front. Bread, wine, and money are collected and placed on the table as symbols of our lives and labours. If you are visiting with us today, you are our special guests, so please do not feel compelled to give financially. Refrain As we prepare to Live transformed lives, our communion meal reminds us of Jesus with us. Receiving bread, wine, or blessing are all valued ways of participating around Jesus' table. Baptized persons of any age are welcome to receive the bread and wine, and gluten-free wafers are available. If you wish to receive a blessing, please cross your arms over your chest. If you wish, the Deacon will bring communion to where you are seated. Prayer over the Gifts God of grace, People accept all we offer you this day, as we look toward the glory you have promised. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. The Eucharistic Prayer The Lord is here. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. 8 Live We thank you, our heavenly Father, that in your love and mercy you gave your only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to save us. To you be glory and praise for ever. Jesus commanded us to remember his death until his coming again. Hear us, merciful Father, and grant that we, who eat and drink this bread and wine, may remember his death, and share in his body and blood. To you be glory and praise for ever. On the night he was betrayed, Jesus took the bread in his hands. He gave you thanks and broke it. Then he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take, and eat; this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way after the meal Jesus took the cup in his hands. He gave you thanks. Then he gave it to them saying, Drink from this, all of you. This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. To you be glory and praise for ever. May the power of your Holy Spirit so come upon this bread and wine that it would become for us the very presence of your Son Jesus.
