Luke 2:10,11 ESV A note from the outgoing Community Lay Directors. As Christmas approaches, we look forward with a time of excitement & joy. The gift of a savior being born for each of us, the gift of forgiveness and the excitement of what God has in his plans for our fourth day. Are you ready for the new & exciting plans that God has for you? Say yes and enjoy being used by God for His kingdoms glory. Our term of Community Lay Director will end as 2014 ends. We have been blessed to serve in this position the past three years, and thank all of you for your prayers & support along the way. We recently visited Vern and Judy Heiler and they how the Emmaus community has touched them with countless cards, phone calls and prayers. We also went to Sue Doherty s calling hours and the Emmaus folks shared stories of how she impacted our lives and the lives of the people she touched. This is what Emmaus has given to us, the support of Christian Brothers and Sisters who give of themselves to encourage and love you up in Christ s name! What a humbling and joyful thing this Emmaus experience is. The other Board members we have worked with the past three years have been very diligent in making sure their jobs are done. This in turn has been so helpful in making our task more enjoyable. With each week-end, we hear the new pilgrims share a little of their experience & plans. But it is more exciting is to hear what is happening in their 4 th day, and how they are making an impact on the world. That is where the focus and strength of Walk to Emmaus is, your Fourth Day. We all know that the Week-end experience is incredible, but it is in your fourth day where we all are the hands & feet of Jesus. As 2015 beings please join us in praying for our new Community Lay Director, Jim Moody. Also be praying for the other board members, especially for the Agape position that is still open. I think we all realize the meaning & importance of Agape during the week-end. It is very important that this position be filled shortly. Perhaps you are the one who God is calling to step out in faith and are willing to be used by Him as the Agape Chair. Keep this in your prayers! 3 CHRYSALIS Board of Directors AGAPE Preparations are now in progress for Walks #48. The Men s team is basically complete the Women s is just starting calls are being make. The Women s is starting to come together. We need to pray for the teams as they prepare for the new Pilgrims. Who will you be sponsoring to go on this set of walks. Start working on agape for the walk. For those who supply agape for the walk please identify what individual or gathering supplies it. This will make it easier to return extras. Again, pray for the teams as they prepare to lead their pilgrims on their three day journey. Pray without ceasing! 72 Hour Prayer Vigil Men Women This is our third year as Agape Chairs so we must step down. We are still seeking an individual or individuals to serve as Agape Chairs. If you are interested in being Agape as Agape Chairs please contact us. Or if you have any questions please feel free to contact us also.
