Within 10 minutes north and south of Dresser are the communities of St. Croix Falls,WI and Osceola,WI with populations of 4,800 and 8,100 respectively. The majority of the membership of Peace Lutheran Church comes from these 3 communities. The area is ethnically homogeneous, with white representing more than 95% of the population. Dresser, St. Croix Falls and Osceola are bedroom communities, lying within 50 miles of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. The primary industries include manufacturing, agriculture, construction and healthcare. Currently, we are committed to encouraging members to become more involved and increasing our membership. 4 Partnership Finding a new pastor we are excited about the opportunities and renewed interest this will bring. As fall programs begin, we are grateful and enthusiastic about levels of participation by young people particularly in Sunday School and Youth programs. For more than 20 years, Peace Lutheran Church has partnered with Luther Seminary as a training site for interns. We hope to continue this program. 10 Answers to the more objective questions were developed from responses to a survey which was offered online, as well as, in paper form. The subjective questions, those addressing our history, culture, purpose and vision were answered using information gathered in a series of seven meetings that were attended by members of the congregation. The profile committee compiled the answers and submitted the form to the church council for approval.
