PRAYER L: Almighty and gracious God, You have commanded us to pray for more laborers in Your Harvest. Thank You for providing this flock with Pastor Chris to serve you in spirit and truth. Give him an abundant measure of Your grace to minister for Your glory and the good of Your people. Grant that being instructed, nurtured, comforted, and strengthened by Your holy Word, we may do those things which are pleasing to You and profitable for Your kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Meet Pastor Chris, Amanda, Eliya, & Jacob Sansom and Samson where he also met his wife, Amanda. They were married on June 3, In 2008, Chris graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. His first call was to St. Mark s Lutheran Church in Wausau, Wisconsin. Their daughter, Eliya, was born on September 11, 2009 and son, Jacob, was born on July 17, Eliya is currently attending preschool at Good Shepherd in Pekin. They also have a border collie named Samson. Chris was born and raised in east central Missouri. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor s degree from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, Pastor Chris and his family are excited about joining our church and look forward to meeting new friends and serving the people here at St. John's.
