THE CUPBOARD IN THE NARTHEX Benefitting the families in the Westminster Family Shelter. Bring shelf-stable items with a good expiration date pop them in the cupboard. Thanks. This mission opportunity is provided by our Church and Society Committee. Help us stock it. Church and Society Committee Stewardship Tips: Turn down your thermostat in winter, especially at night and when you are not home. When you go away for a few days, turn down your hot water heater (some have vacation mode) and set your furnace thermostat to 58F. Warm up to cooler laundry water. Using hot water for both washing and rinsing uses three and a half times more energy than washing in warm water and rinsing in cold. RECYCLING NEWS cardboard acceptance is suspended... paper continues to be accepted... Abitibi requested we temporarily cease donating cardboard in the Abitibi paper recycling bin, due to a concern with their processor. Abitibi will let us know when we can resume cardboard donations. In the meantime, please do not bring your cardboard recycling to church. Church cardboard recycling is collected in the Jubilee Hall kitchen. 13 MAKE IT A HABIT EARN DOLLARS FOR WUMC AmazonSmile.com donates 0.5% of purchase when you choose WUMC.
