Our congregation has always generously supported this program. The children s name tags and signup sheet are located in the church entrance hall. Please attach tags to gifts. The Food Pantry would prefer the gifts to be unwrapped. If the gifts are wrapped, please write on the tag what is inside the package. This avoids duplication of gifts for the same child. They will also accept used bicycles in good/usable condition. Gifts must be brought in by Sunday, December 10th. Thank you for participating in this important ministry!

3 With all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we are pleased to welcome the Kiski Valley Community Band on Saturday, December 9th at 7:30 pm. We re looking forward to this family- favorite night of music. This jolly group of musicians will perform selections sure to lift your spirits and will be followed by refreshments in the social hall. The free-will offering collected will benefit the Plum and Kiski Area Food Banks. If you would like to attend, but need transportation, please call the church office and we ll make arrangements so you don t miss this fun holiday event. (Please do this by Sunday, December 3rd) So bring your family, invite your friends and neighbors and enjoy an evening of wonderful Christmas music. Caring Hearts & Hands Caring Hearts and Hands will have their next meeting on the second Thursday of December. This December 14th luncheon gathering will be held at Palmieri s Restaurant, 951 Old Frankstown Rd., Plum, PA Consider joining us at 11:30 am for food and fellowship! Salvation Army Bell Ringing The Youth Group is in need of volunteers to ring the bell for the Salvation Army Kettle at 380 Auction on Saturday, December 16th. Volunteers can sign up for a one or two-hour shift between 9:00am and 5:00pm. All church youth (and those young at heart) are invited to participate. If you have an hour or two to spare, please help support this important cause. There is a sign-up sheet in the lobby. Please contact the church office or Rob Carnahan at ( ) with any questions. Thank You! Youth & Family Christmas Caroling ~ Sunday, December 17 th ~ (Following 10:00 am Service) Come and get into the Christmas Spirit. We will be visiting our homebound members and others to sing Christmas carols and bring them some holiday joy. A sign-up sheet is in the entryway of the church. Please let us know if you can drive. We will grab lunch together, and then head out for Caroling.

4 Join us for Christmas: FAQ This year the Sunday School, here at Christ s, is excited to present Christmas: FAQ on Sunday, Dec 17, 2017 at 9:00 am in the Sanctuary. The program will feature musical performances from our youth and then a fun filled program that everyone will enjoy. For Sunday School students: We will have dress rehearsal during Sunday School on Dec. 10 th and then tentatively again on Saturday, Dec. 16 th from 10am-11am. There will be music from our talented students, cake, ornament making and lots of Christmas Spirit. Our whole church family is invited to come! Our White Paraments Update The white paraments used during the Seasons of Christmas and Easter are being replaced. We ve found that the replacement costs are: Altar Parament $2, Pulpit Hanging * Lectern Hangings (2) * Pastor s Chasuble * Pastor s Stole Burse and Veil Total Cost $3, *We are glad to announce that the funds needed to replace the pulpit hanging, the lectern hangings and pastor s chasuble have been generously donated by several members of our congregation.
