1 October/November 2017 Newsletter Headed to Chile November 13-21! Excited to be going to Chile for the 4th year in a row! This year, I will be traveling to the Southern Region for ministry. I will be teaching, preaching, and do the work of an evangelist. I would love for you to partner with me by giving a special gift to assist on this strategic trip for ministry. 2 HOLD ONTO YOUR WORD! Luke 8:22-25 (NKJV) 22 Now it happened, on a certain day that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." And they launched out. 23 But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 But He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, "Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!" (He went into a ship with his disciples) The ship in this story represents your life, your destination, and the direction of God. (One songwriter put it this way) --- "The soul of a man is like a ship that sails on the sea of time." When Jesus entered the ship he changed the Disciples course, He gave them a purpose and a destination. Do you remember when Jesus got into your ship? Do you remember when He changed your course? --- You were lost. You were drifting. You were bound. You were on your way

3 to a devils hell! But one day Jesus came into your life and got on board. He washed you in his blood, delivered you, put his spirit in you and his anointing on you and he gave you a purpose and he gave you a destination. When Jesus entered the ship he gave the Disciples a Word. That word was prophetic, that word carried the spirit of destiny in it. That word said you are going somewhere. Has anybody got a word that you're going somewhere? Has anybody got a word that has pointed you toward something greater than what you have today? Has anybody got a word that stirs your faith, wakes you up in the morning, and carries you through the day? The Disciples got a word of destiny that assured them of His Presence. When God gives you a word it carries His presence! I didn't say it will always make you happy and I didn't say it will always make you feel good, but, I did say... it will always carry God's presence. IF IT IS GOD'S WORD! Moses said: "If your presence go not with us, then do not take us up from this place." His presence and His word go together! Does the Word you received CARRY God's Presence? The Word that carries His presence has the power to carry you! It has the power to keep you where God wants you to be! THE WORD WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH THE STORM! IT WILL HOLD YOU UP! IT WILL MAKE YOU UNSINKABLE! In reality, so many things try to SINK YOU! Debt will sink you. Family turmoil will sink you. Strife will divide and ultimately sink you. Fear will immobilize and eventually sink you. Anxiety will sink you. Your past can sink you. BUT WHEN YOU HAVE A WORD FROM THE LORD, HOLD ON TO IT! It will make you FIREPROOF! IT WILL CAUSE YOU TO STAND! IT WILL MAKE YOU UNSINKABLE on your journey!

4 Listen to this WORD! Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. The devil tells people THEY ARE GOING TO DIE! NOT EVEN THE DOCTORS CAN HELP YOU! But the Word of God says: "We will live and not die, and declare the works of the LORD." Psalm 118:17 The Word of God says: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 The devil will tell you that your ministry is over! Quit! Throw in the Towel! But the Word of God says: "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:19. The devil will tell you that your children will never be saved, that you are wasting your time praying for them! But the Word of God says: "All your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children." Isaiah 54:13 We must learn to sail in the POWER of His Word! The disciples were sailing to the other side, Jesus fell asleep, and there came a storm. The STORM was sent to SINK their SHIP! They seemed to be the TARGET of the STORM! Sometimes it can seem that YOU are in the BULLSEYE of the ENEMIES ATTACK. ALL Hell is breaking loose around YOU. He has called all the IMPS of Hell to target YOU! The BIG DOGS are chasing YOU! When I was coming up in the church we were often reminded that the enemy of our soul would not be attacking you unless you weren't a threat to him OR YOUR SPIRIT LIFE WASN'T

5 A THREAT TO HIM... the devil heard your word too! HE Knows YOU are on YOUR WAY to SOMETHING! You MAY be GOING THROUGH SOMETHING, because your Destiny, your Purpose HAS caught the ATTENTION of the ENEMY! The fight isn't about who and where you are today! The fight is about YOUR WORD! The fight is about YOUR DESTINY! The fight is about WHERE YOU ARE GOING and WHAT YOU ARE BECOMING! The greatest storm of your life means you are closer to your destiny than you've ever been and you're on the edge of the greatest breakthrough of your life. DON'T QUIT NOW... Keep Pressing On to the Other Side! That is your DESTINY! Blessings! Rick October-
