Luke 22:19 What causes denominational splits? 19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.
What causes denominational Matthew 28:19 splits? 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Acts 2:41 What causes denominational splits? 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
What causes denominational splits? Romans 9 14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. [f] 16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God s mercy. John 3 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God s one and only Son. 19

Differences. Anabaptists The name Anabaptist is derived from the Greek term anabaptista, or "one who baptizes over again." This name was given them by their enemies (particularly the Roman Catholic Church) in reference to the practice of "re-baptizing" converts who "already had been baptized" (or sprinkled) as infants. Anabaptists required that baptismal candidates be able to make their own confessions of faith and so rejected baptism of infants. The early members of this movement abhorred the name "Anabaptist", claiming that since infant baptism was unscriptural and null and void, the baptizing of believers was not a "re-baptism" but in fact the first baptism for them. More
Differences. Methodists Communion The church believes that the bread is an effectual sign of His body crucified on the cross and the cup is an effectual sign of His blood shed for humanity. Through the outward and visible signs of bread and wine, the inward and spiritual reality of the Body and Blood of Christ are offered to believers. The church holds that the celebration of the Eucharist is an anamnesis of Jesus death, and believes the sacrament to be a means of grace, and practices open communion. More
Differences. Mennonite Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ The authority of Scripture and the Holy Spirit. Believer's baptism understood as threefold: Baptism by the spirit (internal change of heart), baptism by water (public demonstration of witness), and baptism by blood (martyrdom and asceticism or the practice of strict selfdenial as a measure of personal and especially spiritual discipline). Discipleship understood as an outward sign of an inward change. Discipline in the church, informed by New Testament teaching, particularly of Jesus (for example Matthew 18:15 18). Some Mennonite churches practice the Meidung (shunning). The Lord's Supper understood as a memorial rather than as a sacrament or Christian rite, ideally shared by baptized believers within the unity and discipline of the church. More
Differences. Catholicism Transubstantiation, the belief that the elements in the Eucharist become really, truly, the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ at consecration, resulting in the Real Presence of Christ, and that, because Christ himself is present in the sacrament, he is to be honored in it with the worship known as Eucharistic adoration. More
Differences. Pentecostal Like other forms of evangelical Protestantism, Pentecostalism adheres to the inerrancy of scripture and the necessity of accepting Christ as personal lord and savior. It is distinguished by belief in the baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience separate from conversion that enables a Christian to live a Holy Spirit filled and empowered life. This empowerment includes the use of spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues and divine healing two other defining characteristics of Pentecostalism. More
The Visible Church The visible church is the whole number of those who use the Word of God and profess the Christian faith. But, among them are unbelievers and hypocrites
The scriptures teach We should seek always to be and remain members of the invisible church, Christ s body, by sincere faith in Christ, our Savior. We should be faithful to that visible church, or denomination, which professes and teaches all of the Bible s doctrine purely and administers the sacraments according to Christ s institution.
The scriptures teach We should avoid false teachers, false churches, and all organizations that promote a religion that is contrary to God s word. What enables you to identify them?
Paul s letter to Timothy 2 Timothy Chapter 2 11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; 12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; 13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
Paul s letter to Timothy 14 Keep reminding God s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.
