3 The youth at Wesley are fundraising for their upcoming Resurrection trip. Sunday, December 9 th, they will watch your children from 4 7pm, while you do what you need to do. There will be programming for the following age groups: 3 years and under will have nursery workers provided for their care. They will need to bring their own dinner. 4 years - 4th grade will play games, watch a Christmas movie with popcorn, and will be served a pizza dinner. 5th - 6th grades will attend Amplify s The Gathering. Sunday School and Kids in Action 200 Hall (children ages 4-4 th grade) Sunday School hour starts at 9:40 with Praise HQ! This month in Praise HQ! an Advent study. Kids in Action dismisses from 10:45 and 11:00 worship services Sunday School and Kids in Action Life Application and Bible Memory Verse: Compassion. 4 Youth Christmas Party Grades PM, December 15 th at Joe and Kim Reedy s house 118 Woodland Drive, Jonesborough, TN Girls: Bring sweet snack. Guys: Bring salty snack. Everyone: bring white-elephant gift, no more than $5. We will have gift exchange, food, games, and fellowship! Amplify Christmas Party 5th and 6th Grades December 9th Amplify will be having a Christmas party at Wesley on December 9 th from 4:00-7:00pm! We will eat dinner, decorate Christmas cookies, exchange white elephant gifts ($5 gift limit), and play games! This will be a fantastic time of community and fellowship as we celebrate Christmas! Friends are welcome to come to this fun event! Parents Night Out Grades 7-12 December 9 th at Wesley The event is 4-7 p.m. but Youth will meet at 3:30 and leave at 7:30 This is a service event and a fundraiser for families in the church. The youth will be helping to lead this event, so we need all the youth who can participate! Small Groups December 2 The Gathering (Amplify) 6-8 PM at Wesley This will be a great time of fellowship as we study scripture, eat delicious food, and play games. Friends are welcome as always! Thrive (7th and 8th grades) 6-8 PM at Wesley Dinner, games, Bible study Bring a friend and $3 for dinner Soul Food (9th - 12th grades) 6-8 at the Hancocks house 5 Ridgewood Terrace, Unit B, Johnson City, TN There will be no small groups on December 16, 23, or 30. *The youth will be selling shares to raise the remainder of the cost for Resurrection. Each Student will need to raise 12 $5 Shares. They will have the Shares forms to hand out and we will go around in Sunday School classes in December. See Jane for info! **We have T-Shirts for sale and they look great! $15! Youth can take orders from friends, anyone who goes to Wesley or not. These are an extra fundraising opportunity for Resurrection, so let s try and sell as many as we can! See Jane for any additional info.

5 December Communion Offering: Families Free Families Free is a non-profit ministry designed to build better communities through the transformation of vulnerable families, especially those affected by incarceration. Families Free provides evidence-based services combined with the faithbased principles of compassion, healing, and restoration to promote positive lifestyle changes within our communities most at-risk and overlooked populations. Their mission is Strengthening our community by building the capacity of vulnerable families through education, intervention and restoring relationships. Your gift will help them to provide Christmas for those they serve. Monthly Mission Emphasis Items: Appalachian Regional Coalition on Homelessness They need coats, hats, gloves scarves and socks. They also need athletic shoes (can be used as long as still wearable), they also need new or used backpacks. Please drop off in the Tower Area drop-off bin by December 31st. Thank you for your continued commitment of support to these youth every year! Resurrection is a ministry of the Holston Conference. Thousands of youth from Holston Conference gather together in Pigeon Forge each January, for a time of Worship and spiritual growth. This is truly one of the highlights of the year for our youth ministry. Each student pays $75 to attend although the actual cost is roughly $300. We need your help to raise the additional funds. We have 26 youth going. We would greatly appreciate any support, financially or through prayer and encouragement. You are welcome to give your contribution to Jane or put a check in the offering plate to Wesley Memorial with Resurrection on the memo line. We hope to share our experience with as many of our family and friends as we can in worship after we get back. We d love for you to be a prayer partner and/or donate any amount you are able to help with the cost of Resurrection. The students will also be selling $5 shares if you would like to or are able to buy shares from individual students. Look for a form in the bulletin or from Students from now through January 25 th!
