2 CHAPEL ROCK YOUTH MINISTRY MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL OUR MISSION To lead students to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. How do we do it? Our Vision... Connect students and families to Jesus and one another. What does a fully devoted follower of Jesus look like? A fully devoted follower of Jesus is one who surrendered to Christ (LIVE), continually changes to the likeness of Christ (GROW), and helps others do the same (SERVE). LIVE Live the life God created you for; a life in relationship with him, a life of worship and surrender to Christ as Lord and Savior. John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. GROW Grow as the disciple of Jesus that God intends, committed to the continual transformation of your mind into the mind of Christ. Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. SERVE Serve the Lord and other people by giving of yourself, being submitted to Christ as the head of his body, the church, and committed to his mission in this world. John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

3 FALL2014 MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMMING MERGE Merge is our newly launched environment designed specifically with the needs of middle school (5th-8th) grade students in mind. Merge meets in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM. We join together for interactive challenges, worship, powerful teaching, and discussion groups geared specifically toward middle school students. CRUX 56 CRUX56 is a program designed specifically for 5th and 6th grade students. CRUX56 meets during the 11:00 AM in the Family Life Center. Games, activities, and small group times will allow students in 5th and 6th grade to unpack the life application of the week s topic. Planned family worship Sundays will allow these students to occasionally participate in the main worship service with their family. CRUX 78 CRUX78 meets on Sunday nights at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Center. Enter at door #6. Games, activities, and small groups that allow students in 7th and 8th grade to unpack the life application of the week s topic in creative ways that are sure to be challenging, encouraging, and fun.

4 HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMMING THE VINE Jesus said in John 15:5, I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM in the Chapel are a time that we simply seek to remain in Jesus teaching and continually grow in our connection to Him. In Jesus example, all fruit depended on remaining in The Vine. Likewise, all of our discussion time, Life Group application time, and special projects stem from the teaching themes that we dig into together on Sunday mornings. We meet for worship and teaching in a large group setting, then split off into discussion groups divided by grade to dig deeper. HIGH SCHOOL LIFE GROUPS Come dive beneath the surface and join with other students like you who are seeking to become the kind of followers of Jesus that He calls us to be, applying the teaching we re learning at The VINE. We have three Life Groups that meet this Fall on Sunday nights at 6:00 PM. Freshman: Meeting at Roger & Mindy Turpen s home located in Drake Landing at 2460 Ring Necked Dr. ( ) Sophomore: Meeting at Mike & Carey Belcher s home located in Chapel Hill at 6906 Westlake Rd. ( ) and Scott & Vicki Crawford s home located at 2152 Tansel Rd. ( ) Junior/Senior: Meeting at Connection Corner at Chapel Rock located at 2020 N. Girls School Rd. & at Jeff & Lori Dillinger s home located at 1290 Mayapple Dr. Brownsburg ( ) SERVE 2015 SUMMER MISSION TRIP Join us June 28-July 4, 2015 for an unforgettable cross-cultural journey to the Dominican Republic as we partner with Crosswinds (crosswindsyouth.org). We ll be staying at their Caribbean Mountain Academy and working with students who are in school there, along with those in the surrounding community. The cost for this trip will be around $1,200, and registration will begin in September of Several pre-trip preparation meetings will be required. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.
