Those that love God make the best of all he does, and take all in good part. Dear friends and supporting churches, Kindly I would like to thank you so much for your continued prayers and all the necessary financial support you have rendered to our Ministry with children of Lord s Mountain Orphanage. The year 2016 for us had its ups and downs but we thank the Almighty God for seeing us through. It was in this year 2016 that we saw our dream of coming up with a Multipurpose Assembly Hall fully achieved; we saw a young Missionary (Global Mission Fellow) coming to join hands with us for the betterment of our boys and girls. We saw the children of LMO who endured so much in their short lives being filled with joy and love, sing in the church choir and worship the Lord in Spirit. They are truly devout in their belief in God and have such huge dreams of becoming teachers, doctors, journalists and nurses. On Tuesday, the 22 nd of November my family experienced a serious setback. We hopelessly saw the roof of our parsonage being half way stripped off by an angry storm leaving us in the cold with loss of material belongings. For two and half months Betty and I with our two small girls stayed in a 3 meter- square room until Sunday February 5 then we returned to our house. It was indeed a sad experience but on the other hand, it happened for God s purpose for our life. Our excitement is that when nothing else could help, God could use close friends of LMO to come to our help. We praise His Holy Name. A hopeless woman after the storm Newly renovated parsonage

Education God is doing wonders and there is great progress in line with educating the Children of Lord s Mountain Orphanage.

Lizzy Kaonga and Oliya Munene, these are two girls who are likely to complete their three years Diploma program in Secondary Teaching at the end of this year 2017.

Brudas Muloji is another smart student among others; he is just two months old at College in Lusaka pursuing a three years Diploma course in Physiotherapy at Evelyn Horn College.

2 Education God is doing wonders and there is great progress in line with educating the Children of Lord s Mountain Orphanage. At least the orphanage can now count four of its kids at Higher learning institutions in the Country. Lizzy Kaonga and Oliya Munene, these are two girls who are likely to complete their three years Diploma program in Secondary Teaching at the end of this year David Kalwiji is also progressing well from the time we took him to college in September last year for a Diploma course in secondary teaching too. Brudas Muloji is another smart student among others; he is just two months old at College in Lusaka pursuing a three years Diploma course in Physiotherapy at Evelyn Horn College. Those at Primary and Secondary levels are not left behind, our focus is fully on them to make sure they follow the footsteps of the above mentioned four students who have made Lord s Mountain Orphanage a proud family. We have in one hand Russell Rusike, a Global Mission Fellow who s doing a good job to supplement the academic performance of Secondary Students in English, Math and Science subjects. Elizabeth Jackson, a Volunteer Missionary who is with us for three months since December 31, concentrates much more on the Pre- school and Primary students. She understands that for any structure to be strong standing, the foundation must be its strength. Therefore, she is taking great steps with elementary students to advance their fundamental reading, spelling, and writing skills. She is also teaching our girls the needle point for creativity. 3 LIBRARY The Library room is another amazing thing this smart lady has helped to put in place at LMO. Through her initiatives, we have created space for everything; a room that we used for many years as a store room has been turned into a Library room. The books in the shelves are the books we received from various friends that we kept in boxes; Elizabeth has helped to catalogue 250 different books and placed them in shelves in the new Library room. The idea behind of all this is to encourage the reading zeal among our boys and girls. Elizabeth brought a Missionary zeal to her work

Last year in December as per routine, we discharged five adults from LMO among them two boys and three girls.

It was again a hard time for us (Betty & Bernard) to accept the LET GO of those that we had made our own for 14 years of life together as a family. But as the Bible says, there is time for everything under the sun, we blessed them and our hearts are always opened to them. It is true that we felt the gap after the departure of the 5 older children but the Lord filled the gap with other new and wonderful children, among them two little boys and three little girls. The Zambezi Primary school had the Graduation ceremony of its Nursery School pupils, and two religious Ministries had a crossover overnight and a two day conference. We raised funds from these activities. MAINTENANCE We are delighted to have been able to do some renovations on the two dorms and the kitchen; we replaced the ceiling in some rooms, painted the walls and floors and fixed the drainage on the Dining/kitchen hall. All this has been done because of your prayers and the financial support you render to our Ministry with the children of Lord s Mountain Orphanage.

Over the years you all have stood with us to encourage us to fulfill God s purposes in the lives of the children of Zambezi.

6 MAIZE FIELD So far we have had good rains and our maize is promising a good harvest. THANKS We wish to use this opportunity to thank all our Friends and Supporting Churches across the United States for the amazing commitment you have shown to Lord s Mountain Orphanage. Over the years you all have stood with us to encourage us to fulfill God s purposes in the lives of the children of Zambezi. Your prayers, your finances and your love have enabled us to always respond YES LORD, WE WILL DO IT FOR YOUR SAKE. We also wish to express our personal gratitude to you all for the support you gave to our family when we were devastated by the storm in November last year.
