Amen 5 th Grade raised over $ for the Cancer Support Community. Thank you Dennis & Emma Wutke, along with Lorraine Odov for their very generous donations to the Ludwig Scholarship Fund. Northland Hobbies - Nancy & Steve Harrop donated over $7, in brand new art and craft supplies to TLS. Sadly, our locally owned community hobby store is closing. We are so grateful to the Harrop s for their generous donations. We have never had a real art budget, yet our students LOVE art. Thank you for the supplies! Keep the Harrop s in prayer as they start new endeavors. We Received $ in scholarships this December from TLC/TLS tax credit donations through Big Sky! Thank you to the Trinity Lutheran Community!

2 Featured Artist - Meet the Masters Program PICASSO K-7 students begin to study Picasso Kindergarten Students learn about leadership and the calendar during the class opening. Second grade students really think it is interesting that they can place the eyes anywhere on the face as they replicate a famous Pablo Picasso masterpiece. Most students placed the eyes where they thought they belonged- side by side on the face!

3 Mrs. Cutler posts some very interesting stories! Her student love writing, writing, writing! Students work on Fact, Opinion, and Propaganda writing! They also integrate technology by learning to type and save their papers. Mrs. McCauley has some fun in PE as she really challenges students to work on coordination! 5 th graders are held accountable for all kinds of reading responses even when they listen to a nice read aloud after lunch. Students are posed a question that they must answer with an exit ticket. This exit ticket is on a post it that Mrs. Wied collects.

4 7 th Graders have so much specialized and individual attention. They are explicitly learning how to summarize and what goes into a summary step by step! It doesn t get better than this for seventh graders. No one falls through the cracks in the Trinity School Family. 6 th grader uses technology for a step by step explicit model. They are making a hands on study tool to help them remember the characteristics of minerals. Indoor Recess Friends are glad to be back at school!

Prayer meetings are Wednesdays from 2:30-3:15 in the Timothy Room. Join us and bring your Bibles. Please ask God to help you set aside this very important time each week to pray for our school! Each month and each season brings a time for reflecting and an opportunity for rejoicing for the blessings given and the struggles we have navigated through with God s faithfulness. It s a time to review the previous year s goals and anticipate and look ahead to what Jesus may want to do through us with His love. As my daughter was reading from our devotion this morning on the way to school I was reminded how I in my human flesh, as a sheep, I am prone to wander. This year I want to keep my eyes fixed on my Shepherd. I want to follow Him more closely and not wander off. I want to listen to my Shepherd s voice and be comforted and encouraged with His loving words. I want to trust my Shepherd in obedience as

6 He leads me through new adventures through the unknown paths of the year ahead. In practicality how does this look? I want to spend time daily in His word and in prayer for my husband and children. I want to be in community with other women in MOPS and weekly Bible Study and encourage one another in our messy journeys of marriage and family life. I want to be more thankful with kind words to others and appreciate my family more and yell a little less too. I hope you will take a few minutes to reflect your thanks for 2016 and look forward with expectant anticipation for the year ahead in To Him be the Glory + in the church + and in Christ Jesus + Throughout all generations forever and ever!
