Fasting is Supposed to be Normal for a Christian Mat 6:16 "WHENever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. Mat 6:17 "But you, WHEN you fast, anoint your head and wash your face Mat 6:18 so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. Fasting: A Supernatural Tool From God Isa 58:6 "Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free And break every yoke? Isa 58:7 "Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Isa 58:8 "Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Isa 58:9 "Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; You will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, Isa 58:10 And if you give yourself to the hungry And satisfy the desire of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday. Isa 58:11 "And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. Isa 58:12 "Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell. A Fasting Attitude

3 Isa 58:3 'Why have we fasted and You do not see? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?' Behold, on the day of your fast you find your desire, And drive hard all your workers. Isa 58:4 "Behold, you fast for contention and strife and to strike with a wicked fist. You do not fast like you do today to make your voice heard on high. Isa 58:5 "Is it a fast like this which I choose, a day for a man to humble himself? Is it for bowing one's head like a reed And for spreading out sackcloth and ashes as a bed? Will you call this a fast, even an acceptable day to the LORD? God Should Always Be First! Matthew 6:33 (NASB) "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We Should Always Honor God! 1 Samuel 2:30 (NASB) but now the LORD declares, 'Far be it from Me for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be lightly esteemed. Honor is Our Firsts! Exo 13:11 "Now when the LORD brings you to the land of the Canaanite, as He swore to you and to your fathers, and gives it to you, Exo 13:12 you shall devote to the LORD the first offspring of every womb, and the first offspring of every beast that you own; the males belong to the LORD Honor Presents the Best & Holy Numbers 18:29 (NASB) 'Out of all your gifts you shall present every offering due to the LORD, from all the best of them, the sacred part from them.' Honor is Our Best In Abundance! Gen 4:1 Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the LORD." Gen 4:2 Again, she gave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. Gen 4:3 So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the LORD of the fruit of the ground. Gen 4:4 Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions [abundance; best; choicest parts]. And the LORD had regard [look at; consider] for Abel and for his offering;

4 Gen 4:5 but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell Honor Brings the Choice Fruits! Exodus 23:19 (NASB) "You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God... Honor is Trusting God & Should Come From Our Wealth! Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Pro 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD from your wealth And from the first of all your produce Tithing/Giving/Honoring Teaches Us Reverence of God! Deuteronomy 14:23 (AMPC) And you shall eat before the Lord your God in the place in which He will cause His Name [and Presence] to dwell the tithe (tenth) of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstlings of your herd and your flock, that you may learn [reverently] to fear the Lord your God always. Honor Should Be Planned & Set Aside 1 Corinthians 16:2 (NASB) On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come. Honor is Given Supernaturally Through Our Heart! 2Co 8:2 that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality. 2Co 8:3 For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord Honor/Giving Is A Sweet Smell To God Php 4:15 You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; Php 4:16 for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs. Php 4:17 Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.

5 Php 4:18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. Php 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus In Honor, Abraham Gave Up His Biggest Promise From God Gen 22:1 Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." Gen 22:2 He said, "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you. Gen 22:7 Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." And he said, "Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Gen 22:8 Abraham said, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." So the two of them walked on together. Gen 22:12 He said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me." Gen 22:13 Then Abraham raised his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the place of his son. Gen 22:14 Abraham called the name of that place The LORD Will Provide, as it is said to this day, "In the mount of the LORD it will be provided." Honor Doesn t Count The Cost or Reputation! Mark 14:3 (NASB) While He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure nard; and she broke the vial and poured it over His head.
