Psalm 23:1-3 (The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in green, meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He
2 renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.) John 3:16-17 (For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will nor perish but have eternal life. God did not send his son into the world to condemn it, but to save it) Ephesians 1:4-5 (Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure.) 2
3 The DRIVE Derby (DRIVE/Episode #2-Learning Activity) The DRIVE Derby Divide kids into 4 teams Place a derby start line on the floor HOW TO PLAY: Say, We can fellowship together by encouraging one another. What can you say or do to encourage him/her? Someone you know at church is scared about moving to a new school. What can you say or do to encourage him/her? Your friend will soon have a new baby brother or sister because his/her mom is going to have a baby. He/she does not know what it will be like. What can you do or say to encourage him/her? Someone on your sports team is upset because you lost the game. What can you do or say to encourage him/her? Your friend is thinking about doing something that he/she knows is wrong. What can you do or say to encourage him/her? Share a time when someone you know encouraged you. What did he/she say or do? What was that like for you? Did anyone encourage you? What did he/she say or do to encourage you? Can you think of a time in the Bible when Jesus encouraged someone? What did he say or do? 3
