3 LEADERSHIP POSITIONS, DESCRIPTIONS The following is a detailed description of the positions we are looking to fill in the Student Ministries departments of Braeswood Church (Place a by the area(s) you are interested in). SUNDAY SCHOOL (BIBLE.U) Bible.U is our Christian Education initiative that helps students discover the Bible s relevance to life with an emphasis on learning how to practically apply spiritual truth to their everyday experience. HOURS: Sunday 9:00am 10:30am POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Sunday school Teacher Our Sunday school Teachers work as a team to provide for the spiritual formation of a group of students by developing relationships with them, modeling an authentic Christian faith, and teaching them the essentials of following Christ. Hall Monitor Our Hall Monitors are our eyes in the Halls, controlling the flow of studenttraffic, directing visitors to the right classes, and maintaining safety throughout the Student Building. Bible Quiz Coach Teen Bible Quiz coaches work with students to train them to learn, live out, and lead with God s Word. Every year, students memorize different books in the New Testament, as well as participate in various meets that test their ability to memorize and understand God s Word. Turn Life Counselors Turn Life is our spiritual foundations class for students who would like to strengthen their commitment to Christ. You will work with a team of adults to mentor students through an 8-week course that includes class time, home study, and weekly follow-up with respondents. WEEKEND WORSHIP SERVICE (re:group) re:group is weekly gathering of students in grades 6-12 who seek God s face through worship, discover His eternal purpose and plan for their lives, and desire to make Him known in their generation. HOURS: Sunday 10:45am 12:00pm POSITIONS: Small Group Leader You will be responsible for the spiritual care of a small group of 5-7 student, including leading students in conversation about the sermon, as well as nurturing accountability within your group. Hall Monitor Work with a team of 3-5 adults to direct the flow of students through the Student Building every time the doors are open, as well as help to ensure the overall security of all occupants. Ushers Director Recruit, train, and mentor a team of student-leaders to serve as Ushers during our weekend services.

4 Greeters Director Recruit, train, and mentor a team of student-leaders to serve as Greeters during our weekend services. Registration Director Recruit, train, and mentor a team of student-leaders to serve as Registration Table attendants whose responsibility it is to check students in, as well as identify and connect visitors with Greeters. MIDWEEK ELECTIVES (Ministry Arts School) M.A.S. is our midweek ministry training initiative that connects students with experienced adultcoaches/mentors who help them to discover, develop and deploy their gifts and talents in active ministry. HOURS: Wednesday 7:00pm 8:15pm POSITIONS: Bible Quiz Coach Teen Bible Quiz coaches work with students to train them to learn, live out, and lead with God s Word. Dance Coach The Dance Ministry exists to train students to worship God and minister to others through the art of dance, using various styles including, Step, Urban, and Worship. Drama Coach The Drama Ministry exists to train students to minister God s Word by bringing biblical truth to life through skits, human videos, mimes, etc. Interpretive Sign Coach The Interpretive Sign Ministry exists to train students to express worship through signing songs that portray biblical truth. Spoken Word Coach The Spoken Word Ministry exists to train students to communicate biblical truth through poetry that is specifically composed for performance before an audience. Rap Coach The Rap Ministry exists to train students to communicate biblical truth through rhyme and rhythm. Media Coach The Media Ministry exists to train students to manage the audio and video needs of our weekly gatherings, including running the sound board, operating Media Shout, as well as the set-up and tear down of all media equipment. Puppet Coach The Puppet Ministry exists to train students to communicate biblical truth through the creative operation of puppets. Worship Band The Worship Band exists to set an atmosphere for the collective worship of God by our students during our weekly chapels, as well as trains students to express worship through their musical gifts and talents.
