2 WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT? THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ONE OF THE GODHEAD MATTHEW 28:19 18 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, 20 Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 14 The Grace of The Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Communion of The Holy Ghost, be with you all.

3 WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT? THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ONE OF THE GODHEAD 1 JOHN 5:6-8 6 This is He who came by water and blood-- Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is The Spirit who bears witness, because The Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: The Father, The Word, and The Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: The Spirit, The water, and The blood; and these three agree as one.

4 WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLED? ISAIAH 11:2 2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Might, the Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of The LORD. ZECHARIAH 12:10 10 I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, The Spirit of Grace and of supplications. They shall look upon Me whom they have pierced. They shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for His only Son and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for His Firstborn.

5 WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLED? MATTHEW 10:20 20 It is not you that speak, but The Spirit of your Father which speaks in you. LUKE 4:18 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

JOHN 14: I will pray to the Father and He shall give you another Comforter that He may abide with you for ever; 17 Even The Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him. But you know Him; for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

JOHN 14:26 26 But The Comforter, which is The Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you. JOHN 15:26 26 When The Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from The Father, even The Spirit of Truth, which proceeds from The Father, He shall testify of Me.

8 WHAT IS THE HOLY GHOST CALLED? JOHN 16:7 7 I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, The Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. JOHN 16:13 13 When He, The Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.

9 WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLED? ACTS 5:9 9 Peter said to her, How is it that you have agreed together to tempt The Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried your husband are at the door and shall carry you out. EPHESIANS 1: We should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your Salvation. In whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of Promise,

HEBREWS 10:29 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot The Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to The Spirit of Grace?

11 HOW SHOULD WE REFER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? But whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak. And He will show you things to come. 14 He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Me and shall show it to you.

15 HOW SHOULD WE REFER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? AS A PERSON - HE or HIM 1 CORINTHIANS 12: There are diversities of gifts, but The Same Spirit. 11 But all these work that one and The Selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.

16 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? MATTHEW 4:1 1 Jesus was led of The Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. LUKE 4:1 1 Jesus being full of The Holy Ghost returned from Jordan and was led by The Spirit into the wilderness. LUKE 2:27 27 Simeon came by The Spirit into the temple when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for Him after the custom of the law.

17 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? MATTHEW 10:20 20 It is not you that speak, but The Spirit of your Father which speaks in you. MARK 13:11 11 When they shall lead you and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither do you premeditate. But whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that shall you speak: for it is not you that speak, but The Holy Ghost. LUKE 12:12 12 The Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.

20 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? ACTS 2:4 4 They were all filled with The Holy Ghost and they began to speak with other tongues as The Spirit gave them utterance. ACTS 4:31 31 When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together. They were all filled with The Holy Ghost and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

21 WHAT CAN WE DO TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? ACTS 5:3-4 3 Peter said to Ananias, Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to The Holy Ghost and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? After it was sold, was it not in your own power? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God. ACTS 5:9 9 Peter said to Saphira, How is it that you have agreed together to tempt The Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried your husband are at the door and shall carry you out.

22 WHAT CAN WE DO TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? ACTS 7:51 51 You stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, You do always resist The Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you. ACTS 9:31 31 The churches had rest throughout Judaea, Galilee and Samaria, and were edified. Walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, and were multiplied.

23 WHAT CAN THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? ACTS 10: While Peter thought on the vision, The Spirit said, Behold, three men seek you. 20 Arise, get down and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them. ACTS 13:2 2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, The Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. ACTS 13:4 4 They being sent forth by The Holy Ghost, departed to Seleucia; and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

24 WHAT CAN THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? ACTS 15:28 28 It seemed good to The Holy Ghost and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things. ACTS 16:6-7 6 When they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and They were forbidden of The Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: But The Spirit suffered them not. ACTS 20:23 23 The Holy Ghost witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. ACTS 28:25 25 When they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spoke The Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet to our fathers,

ROMANS 8:16 16 The Spirit bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ROMANS 15:16 16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by The Holy Ghost. 1 CORINTHIANS 2: God has revealed them to us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 What man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God no man knows, but The Spirit of God.

26 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? 1 CORINTHIANS 2: We have received, not the spirit of the world, but The Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, But that which The Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receives not the things of The Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 CORINTHIANS 3:16 16 Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that The Spirit of God dwells in you?

27 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? 1 CORINTHIANS 6:11 11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by The Spirit of our God. 1 CORINTHIANS 12: There are diversities of gifts, but The Same Spirit. 7 But the manifestation of The Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 11 But all these work that one and The Selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.

28 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? GALATIANS 5: The flesh lusts against The Spirit, and The Spirit against the flesh. These are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would. 18 But if you be led of The Spirit, you are not under the law. EPHESIANS 3:16 16 That He would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.

29 WHAT CAN WE DO TO THE HOLY SPIRIT? EPHESIANS 4:30 30 Grieve not The Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:19 19 Quench not The Spirit. HEBREWS 3:7 7 Wherefore as The Holy Ghost said, today if you will hear His voice. 30 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? 1 TIMOTHY 4:1 1 The Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 1 PETER 1:21 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man. But holy men of God spoke as they were moved by The Holy Ghost.

31 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? 1 JOHN 5:6-8 6 This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. 32 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? REVELATION 2:7 7 He that has an ear let him Hear what The Spirit said to the Churches: to him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. REVELATION 2:11 11 He that has an ear let him Hear what the Spirit said to the Churches: He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.

33 WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO? REVELATION 14:13 13 I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in The Lord from henceforth. Yes, said The Spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them. REVELATION 22:17 17 The Spirit and The Bride say, Come. Let him that hears say, Come. Let him that is athirst come. Whosoever will let him take the water of life freely.
