The symbols of the Holy Spirit are wind, fire and dove. Chrism is a mixture of olive oil and balm (a perfume). It is used in the sacrament of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders. It is blessed by the Bishop during Holy Week. The usual minister of Confirmation is the Bishop but he can designate someone else to confirm the children. Confirmation completes Baptism and can be received only once. The Holy Spirit gives us the strength to go out and be a witness or disciple of Jesus Christ. The first part of the Confirmation rite is when the pastor presents/introduces the candidates to the Bishop. The Holy Spirit comes to you when the Bishop anoints you by tracing a sign of the cross on your forehead. He then lays his hand on your forehead and says the words Name be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and you respond Amen The Bishop then says Peace be with you and you respond by saying And with your spirit. The 4 marks of the Church are One, Holy, Catholic, & Apostolic.
