They will be distributed to our Prayer Team to be included in this week s prayers. Restrooms: From the front of the sanctuary, use the left entrance (by the piano) and follow the hallway to the right. The restrooms are down the hall on the left. From the rear of the sanctuary, turn left and go downstairs. The restrooms are at the end of the hallway. Child Care: The Church Nursery is available for children through kindergarten age. To find the nursery, please go to the left front entrance of the sanctuary and follow the hallway to the right. The nursery is on the left. If your child would like to be rocked during worship, a rocking chair is available on the left side of the sanctuary. Children s Church is usually offered on the 2 nd, 3 rd, and 4 th Sundays of the month for everyone through 4 th grade. It begins after the children s message and runs through the end of worship. On the 1 st Sunday of the month and on special Sundays, children are invited to remain in worship with their families or go to the nursery, which is open to anyone through 2 nd grade on those Sundays. Gary Angleberger Worship Attendance for November 6, 2016: 64 Stewardship Sunday Stewardship Sunday is next Sunday, November 20th. This year, Rev. Gary Angleberger will help lead us in worship. Rev. Angleberger served for many years as a consultant in stewardship for our denomination and our synod. We are blessed to have him join us as we pledge our commitment for the coming year. Don t forget to bring your pledge cards. We ll be dedicating them together during worship.

Please join us as we begin our journey through Advent together Hanging of the Greens November 27, 2016 Please plan on staying after worship on Sunday, November 27, for the annual Hanging of the Greens. We ll decorate the church and then share a light lunch of pizza and pop. This is a great opportunity for fun and fellowship for the whole family as we deck the halls together! November First Sunday Mission Offering Our First Sunday Mission Offering in November goes to the Samaritan Counseling Center of Western Pennsylvania. The Center is a faith-based, non-profit organization that helps individuals and families find spiritual, emotional and physical healing through professional counseling and educational programs. Samaritan Counselors seek to provide more than a relief from symptoms; they strive to help clients discover and address those factors that are keeping them from becoming the people God intends them to be. The Center offers a variety of services, including one-on-one counseling for adults, children, adolescents, couples and families, spiritual direction, grief support services, and group seminars. Fees are adjusted according to a client s ability to pay. The Center is funded, in part, by contributions from churches, organizations, individuals, and foundations. Samaritan Counseling has locations in Allegheny, Beaver and Butler Counties. To help fund this quiet but vital ministry, simply use a First Sunday Mission Offering envelope found in the pew racks or mark First Sunday Mission in the memo portion of your check. Thank you! The Wonder of Christmas All Church Advent Study It s the most wonderful time of the year... That s what the song says. But sometimes the real wonder of Christmas is lost in the hustle and bustle of the season buried under an avalanche of tinsel, wreaths and wrapping paper. Come rediscover what truly makes Christmas so wonder-filled. This Advent, our Sunday school classes are joining forces for a special intergenerational study. There will be something for all ages as we explore the story of Christ s birth together. The series begins on Sunday, Dec. 4, and will run through Sunday, Dec. 18 th. We ll meet in the Memorial Room. Don t miss it!

5 Christmas Cookie Walk Saturday, December 10, 2016 Mark your calendars, find your favorite recipes, and warm up your ovens! Saint Andrews Christmas Cookie Walk will be on Saturday, December 10, from 9:00 am to noon. We ll have an assortment of cookies and quick breads for sale on tables in the Bethany Room. Each customer will be able to walk from table to table to select their own unique combination of holiday goodies. For the event to be successful, we need your help! We re asking for volunteers to make cookies (lots and lots of cookies!) and volunteers for December 10, the day of the walk. We ll need helpers to put cookies in boxes for customers, restock trays, and help set up and clean up. We ll be setting up in the Bethany Room on Friday, December 9, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Cookies can be dropped off then or on Saturday, December 10, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. If you can lend a hand, please sign up in the Narthex, see Janice King or Lori Love Franke, or call the church office ( ). And then spread the word so we have lots of customers! The money raised will go to Saint Andrews General Fund and scholarships for students at Forman Christian College. Weekend Backpack Update A big thank you to everyone who has donated food for the Weekend Backpack Program. Thanks to your generosity, we have delivered over 1,100 individually wrapped snacks and easily prepared foods for hungry children in our school district. The giant backpack will remain in the Narthex until the beginning of Advent. Please continue to bring in food items. Preferred options are: Cereal/Granola Bars Single-Serve Fruit Cup Instant Oatmeal Single-Serve Applesauce Easy Mac Single-Serve Pudding Microwavable or Canned Soup Sandwich Crackers Microwavable Pasta or Rice Meals Microwavable Popcorn Your donations make a significant difference to the kids who receive them! Toys for Tots Box Alternative Gift Fair Attention all Christmas shoppers! Are you struggling to find the perfect gift for someone special? Are you looking for a unique present for someone who seems to have everything? Saint Andrews Youth Group has a great solution. Come to our Alternative Gift Fair at the Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 10th. We ll have all kinds of cool gifts that benefit those in need! Every year, U.S. Marines collect and distribute Christmas gifts to needy children through the Toys for Tots Program. To date, the marines have given over 500 million toys to 237 million children. If you d like to help families in our community, just bring a new toy (unwrapped) to church during Advent. A Toys for Tots Collection Box will be in the Narthex starting on Sunday, November 27th. Together, we can make Christmas a little brighter for children in Butler!
