Presiding Minister/Congregation: NICENE CREED (325 AD) W e believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended in to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

OFFERING OF THE GIFTS Following the homily moves to the altar where he places the Altar Gospel Book to the left side of the altar. Congregation/Choir: Amen.

PROPER PREFACES Advent and Lent By our bodily fasting you curb our sinfulness, raise our minds, Lord, from things of earth, renew our strength and reward us with manifold blessings; through Christ our Lord. [ Therefore ] The Feast of the Epiphany You gave Jesus Christ, your only Son, to be born at this time for us. By the operation of the Holy Spirit, he was made a true man, in the womb of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, and a creation without spot of sin. Thus, by his later becoming sin for us on the cross, he made was clean from all sin. [ Therefore ] Feast of our Lord and of Mary In the mystery of the Word made flesh, you have caused a new light to shine in our hearts, to give the knowledge of your glory in the face of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. [ Therefore ] Feast of Easter We are bound to praise you for the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord: for he is the very Paschal Lamb, which was offered for us, and he has taken away the sin of the world. By his death has destroyed death, and by his rising to life again, has restored to us everlasting life. [ Therefore ]

The Ascension of Our Lord Your most dearly beloved Son Jesus Christ our Lord, after his glorious resurrection, manifestly appeared to all his apostles, and in their sight ascended up into heaven, to prepare a place for us; that where he is, there we might also ascend to and reign with him in glory. [ Therefore ] The Feast of Pentecost Jesus Christ our Lord, according to whose most true promise the Holy Spirit came down [at this time] from heaven, lighting upon the disciples, to teach them, and to lead them into all truth, gave them boldness with fervent zeal constantly to preach the gospel unto all nations. Thereby we have been brought out of darkness and error into the clear light and true knowledge of you, and of your Son Jesus Christ. [ Therefore ] The Feast of the Most Holy Trinity and on Sundays With your only-begotten Son, and your Holy Spirit, you are one God, one Lord, in the trinity of persons and in the unity of substance. This, Father, we believe of your Son, and of the Holy Spirit, without any difference of equality. [ Therefore ] The Feast of All Saints

In the multitude of your Saints, you have compassed us about with so great a cloud of witnesses that we, rejoicing in their fellowship, may run with patience the race that is set before us, and, together with them, may receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. [Therefore ] For Liturgies of the Passion and of the Holy Cross By the tree of the cross, you have brought the salvation of the race of man. From that tree where death arose, from there also life does rise again. He who, by the tree of Eden was once the vanquisher, is also, by a tree, vanquished; through Jesus Christ our Lord. [ Therefore ] The Feast of the Apostles and Evangelists We humbly entreat you, O Lord, the everlasting shepherd, not to leave your flock untended, but by your blessed apostles to keep the flock in your continual protection; that it may be governed by those same rulers, whom in your stead, you have given for your work, as shepherds of your people. [ Therefore ] The Liturgy of Christ the King You have anointed your only-begotten son Jesus Christ, our Lord, with the oil of gladness, to be a priest forever, and to be king over all mankind; that when he rendered himself a spotless sacrifice of peace upon the altar of the cross, he

might fulfill the mystery of our redemption; and, having brought all creatures under his governance, might present unto your infinite majesty, a kingdom universal and everlasting; a kingdom of truth and life; a kingdom of sanctity and grace; a kingdom of justice, love and peace. [ Therefore ] The Feast of the Virgin Mary On the feast (N.) of Blessed Mary, the Virgin Mother of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we should praise, bless, and tell forth your wonders; in that by the overshadowing of your Holy Spirit, she conceived your only begotten Son, and, without losing the glory of her abiding maidenhood, she brought forth for man the light eternal, even Jesus Christ, our Lord. [ Therefore The Liturgy of the Dead Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in whom has been manifested forth unto us the hope of the glorious resurrection, give unto them that bewail the certain condition of their mortality the comfort of your promise of immortality to come. For you, O Lord, take not away but change the life of your faithful people, granting unto them, by the dissolution of the tabernacle of their earthly pilgrimage, a dwelling- place everlasting in the heavens. [ Therefore ] [Insert Icon]

CANON II Elbows and arms should be extended beyond waist. [This Canon incorporates the ANAMNESIS.] And with these heavenly hosts, we also give thanks to you, Lord Jesus, master who loves mankind. For you have given us great grace, which can never be repaid, Y F when you put on our humanity that, by your shared divinity, you might give us life. ou emptied yourself and, in the form of a servant, you stretched out your arms upon the cross and offered yourself in obedience to your Father s will, a perfect sacrifice for all of mankind. or you loved your own which were in this world, even unto the end you loved them. You became the ransom of the guilty of our race, for the life of all, and gave yourself up for all to the death which was reigning over us, and to whose power we were subdued,

for through our sin we were sold to it. A nd by your precious blood you ransomed and saved us, and descended into Sheol, and undid the bonds of death. And because it was not right that you should be bound to Sheol by death, you, the first fruits of our salvation, rose up on the third day and became the first fruit of those that sleep, that you might be pre-eminent among all. Y ou ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of the majesty of your Father and you raised and lifted-up and made us to be with you in heaven, according to the assurances of your promise. Y ou have exalted thereby our lowliness and have restored us from our fall. You have raised us from our mortality, and you have forgiven our debts, and justified us for our guilts.

Y ou have enlightened our knowledge and, O Lord, you have granted victory to the weakness of our frail nature by the abundant mercies of your grace. F or in the same night in which you delivered yourself up to the sins of the whole world, Takes bread in left hand, and with right hand beneath left hand (so as to be free to use right hand for the blessing). Y ou took bread in your holy, pure, and blameless hands; And when you had given thanks y and blessed it, you gave it to your holy apostles, and disciples saying: Take, eat, (Points to the bread). this is my body which is broken for you, for the remission of sins. Makes a profound bow, with arms outstretched in the form of a cross.

SONG OF WORSHIP At the END of the song of worship, takes up the chalice with left hand, and right hand at base. L ikewise, after they had eaten, you took the cup. Again you gave thanks y, blessed it, gave it to his holy apostles and disciples, saying: Drink of this, all of you (Points right hand to chalice). this is my blood of the new covenant. Shed for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in the remembrance of me. Elevates chalice in an ascending/descending, slow, full circle path. B ehold the blood of the new covenant which Christ our God has given unto us. For you have said: "When I see the blood, I will pass over you.
