5 PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE The people remain seated. Minister: People: Incline your ear to us, O Lord. CONCLUDING PRAYER! 5
6 THE CONFESSION Merciful God, we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive, renew, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and follow in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen. The people stand as able. THE ABSOLUTION For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God. Amen. During the singing of the next hymn, you are invited to gather at Table for Communion. Please bring your Order of Service.! 6

It is right to offer thanks and praise. It is right indeed. Therefore with angels and archangels and all the company of heaven, we proclaim your great and glorious name, for ever praising you and singing:! 8
9 RECALLING THE STORY PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING THE LORD S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. THE INVITATION We celebrate an open table. There are no limits on who may join this feast. We offer wine and grape juice, bread and gluten-free wafers. After receiving the bread & cup, you are invited to light a candle & return to your seats. PRAYER FOR THE NIGHT Lord, it is night. The night is for stillness. Let us be still in the presence of God. It is night after a long day. What has been done has been done; what has not been done has not been done; let it be. The night is dark. Let our fears of the darkness of the world and of our own lives rest in you. The night is quiet. Let the quietness of your peace enfold us, all dear to us, and all who have no peace. The night heralds the dawn. Let us look expectantly to a new day, new joys, new possibilities. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.! 9
