This workshop will discuss behaviours which leave the community vulnerable and identify protective factors to promote safety. This opportunity is offered to the extensive MUC Leadership group and Pastoral Care Porfolio. It will be facilitated by Julie McDonald and Ann-Marie Hughes from The Bethel Pastoral Centre. Workshop series with Rev Dr Lorraine Parkinson. Lorraine's new book, "Made On Earth" introduces us to a new understanding that there are two gospels - the Gospel of Jesus and the gospel about Jesus. LinC Manningham Christmas Hampers We would like to sincerely thank those members of MUC who contribute to the LinC Pantry on a monthly basis. We have two more LinC Sundays for this year, Sunday 6 November and Sunday 4 December. In December we like to give our clients a Christmas Hamper and therefore we ask that you might like to include shortbread, Christmas Cake, Mince Pies, Small Christmas Puddings, Bonbons, Nuts or Chocolates in your LinC Pantry shopping for the next couple of months. Accommodation will be provided in cottages near Halls Gap for the nights of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The cottages are supplied with linen and bedding, and have full kitchens. The tour will include a bus trip to 4 wineries on the Saturday, so participants need to get to the accommodation by the Friday (18th Nov) evening. Lunch and dinner will be provided on the Saturday. Some people will be asked to bring casseroles for dinner on the Friday night. Sunday is a free day to go walking in the Grampians or visit more wineries on your own. All other meals are at your own expense. Depending on final numbers, the cost will be approx $250 - $260 per person. If you wish to go, please contact Graeme Mitchell or Bob Bairstow as soon as you can as currently there are only 4 places left".
