This morning, as God s people, we have privilege celebrating sacrament Lord s Supper. According to J.C. Ryle, se are benefits we should expect to receive as we feed, by faith, on Jesus through Lord s Supper: A humbling effect on soul. The bread wine serve as emblems Christ s body blood remind us how sinful sin must be! A cheering effect on soul. How full, perfect, complete is our salvation! A restraining effect on soul. The one goes regularly to Lord s table finds it increasingly hard to yield to sin conform to world. A sanctifying effect on soul. The bread wine remind us how great our debt gratitude to Lord is what a privilege it is to live for Him died for us. In eating that bread drinking that cup, a believer will have his repentance deepened, his faith increased, his knowledge enlarged, his habit holy living strengned. No wonder that a true Christian finds Lord s Supper a source great blessing! 5 CORPORATE PRAYER OF CONFESSION Our Far, forgive us for thinking small thoughts You for ignoring Your immensity greatness. Lord Jesus, forgive us when we forget that You rule nations, our city, our families, our lives. Holy Spirit, we fend You by minimizing Your power squering Your gifts. We confess that our blindness to Your glory, O triune God, has resulted in halfhearted worship, indifference towards our neighbors, unfaithfulness to Your mission, tepid conviction, shallow repentance. Forgive us make us clean, so that we can obey Your call, take up Your cross follow You, live for glory Your name. It is through Jesus Christ we pray.
