1 ST. HELEN CHURCH RIVERSIDE, OHIO May 31, 2015 SOLEMNITY OF THE HOLY TRINITY Trinity Sunday, also known as Holy Trinity Sunday, is celebrated a week after Pentecost Sunday in honor of the most fundamental of Christian beliefs belief in the Holy Trinity. We can never fully understand the mystery of the Trinity, but we can sum it up in the following formula: God is three Persons in one Nature. The three Persons of God Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all equally God, and They cannot be divided. READINGS FOR JUNE 7 Exodus 24:3-8 Hebrews 9:11-15 Mark 14:12-16, With heartfelt thanks for your STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE MAY 24 Adults $11, Children $14.75 The summer rectory office hours will be MONDAY-THURSDAY, 8 a.m. 5 p.m. beginning the week of June 8th. Traditional Irish Blessing OUR FESTIVAL BEGINS WITH BENEDICTION As has been our tradition from the first days of the St. Helen Festival, we begin with prayer. Festival Benediction begins at 5:30 this Friday, June 5. If you are on the grounds or would just like to be part of our opening prayer for a safe and blessed event for our parish and our community, please join us. We praise and thank God for our gifts and the opportunities the festival gives us to have fun together as we work to support our parish and school! BAPTISMS Congratulations to Mya Rose and Rhys Matthew Jernigan, children of Thomas Jernigan and Kaneisha Alfaro, and Kallie Renae Burr, daughter of Jonathon and Amanda who recently received new life through the waters of baptism. Welcome sweet little ones, to the body of the Body of Christ! WE REMEMBER OUR DECEASED In your prayers please remember Anthony Rubino and Martha Jackson who died and whose funerals were held last week. Please also remember their family, friends, and all who mourn their death. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. IN THE MILITARY Please pray for those serving in the military. Lord, protect our military as they sacrifice for us; bless them and their families for their continuing selflessness.
