The VG s program now required that you use what they call the VG s yes Rewards card when you shop to earn special rewards and Community Share points. This is a wonderful way for the Deacon s to earn money for Mission Work. So, VG s Shoppers, the next time that you are in your favorite VG s store sign up for your VG s yes Rewards card and start saving money and earning points for the Trinity United Presbyterian Deacons. The Community Share points will show up on the bottom of your receipt. Just clip the bottom portion off and deposit it in the box provided in the Mutti-Purpose Room. 7 Announcements continued Children s Choir: Children s Choir Rehearsal will be held next Sunday, March 6, 2011 following Morning Worship. Support our Military Our young men and women have chosen to serve their country by joining the Military. They are deployed around the world, some in harms way more than others but still they serve. We have a chance to make their service just a little more bearable. We can do this by donating a few of the items that are on our list. These items are just little things but mean so much to our Service Men and Women. Please do your part! Pillows for the Pews: Cushions for your comfort while you sit on the pews are available in the back of the sanctuary. Please feel free to use them. Attention Members: Announcements must be turned into the Church Office no later than Wednesday of the week if you want your announcement published in our Sunday Bulletin. Thank You! Transportation Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed on Sunday mornings to transport people to and from church. If you would be willing to pick up someone occasionally, call the office or tell someone on the Membership Team. Thank You! Faith Offering Finance is requesting an anonymous $1.00 Volunteer Good Faith Offering to help defray cost of unexpected operational expenses not planned in our budget. Buy A Box: Members & Friends of Trinity United are being given the opportunity to buy a fabric covered box to be hung on the sanctuary walls to help reduce the echo in that room. Each box costs $15.00 and a check or cash may be given to Jan Beach or put in a pew offering envelope. Be sure to write Buy A Box on the envelope to make sure it reaches that fund. Thank You All!

8 Announcements continued Pancake Breakfast: A Special THANK YOU is in order to the Men s Club of Trinity United Presbyterian Church for putting together a PANCAKE BREAKFAST in honor of our Special Guest: Mr. & Mrs. Anthony (Desiree) Lawson this morning. We hope everyone enjoys the food and fellowship. Congregational Meeting: Today, February 27, 2011 all members are asked to be present to vote on the PNC s Candidate for Pastor of Trinity United Presbyterian Church. This vote will take place immediately following Morning Worship and a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Men s Group of Trinity. Needed: Empty Prescription Bottles Please drop your empty prescription bottles in the box provided in the Multi-Purpose Room. Thank You All! Per Capita: Trinity United needs your help with our 2011 per capita. We are asking each member to pay $ Lenten Dinners: Lenten Dinner will begin on Ash Wednesday, March 9, 2011 and continue every Wednesday until April 13, Maundy Thursday Services will be announced at a later time. Wheelchair: The Deacons are looking for a specific sized wheelchair. We have three wheelchairs at the Church, that are the standard size, but we would like one that is twenty-fourinches or larger. If you have one or know of someone who has this size wheelchair and would be willing to donate or offer it to the church at a good price, we would appreciate it. 9 Announcements continued Want to join our New Group?: Would you like to be part of a new group? A group that will take charge of one of our most important investments? This investment has become a very important part of our church life. This new group would get together about every four to six weeks. They would hold their meetings in the Kitchen. AH HA! The purpose of this group would be to organize and put things back into their proper place as they clean and sanitize the kitchen. They also will be making determinations about the care and replacement of the equipment. Would you like to be a part of this very important group?
