12 Here s the latest on our 9:30 Bible Study groups: The Fellowship Hall Bible Study group continues its New Testament focus with the awardwinning mini-series Peter and Paul. Each Sunday through March 1, the group will watch part of the movie and then discuss what they ve viewed. On March 8 the group will begin a study of Romans. All are welcome! Mark will join the Office Building Bible Study group for a series of lessons created from his classwork at the seminary. Please join Mark and the group for the first of these monthly lessons on February

13 Lenten Soup Suppers - Wednesday nights February 18 th - April 1 st at 6:00 PM We are looking for cooks to prepare soup and volunteers to set up and clean up for Wednesday night Soup suppers. The Set-up/Clean-up help we need for the Lenten Soup Suppers is a bit different (and easier!) than our normal Big Wednesday. The cooks provide the soup and the church staff provides the sandwiches and desserts, so the set-up consists of preparing the drinks for the evening plus putting out the bowls, napkins and eating utensils. Since most of the soup cooks bring their own crock pots, the clean-up usually consists of wiping everything down and cleaning up the drinks. See how easy it is! If you are interested in helping out, please sign up in the narthex. 13

15 Shepherd of Life s Youth and Family Page Check here for the latest information regarding all our Youth and Family activities Today is our Junior High Super Sunday! Come join us for Sunday School, worship and then lunch together out afterwards. All you need to bring is money for lunch. We will be back to the church around 1:30 pm. The next High School Supercharged Sunday is on February 22nd. Mark your calendar and make plans to join us! Are you in 4th or 5th grade? Would you like to spend a weekend at camp? Coming up on February 21-22nd there is a Lenten Retreat out at Briarwood. We ll spend the time learning about what the season of lent is all about while getting to do some cool things at camp like archery, field games and hiking. For more information or to register see Jonathan. Lent begins on February 18th with Ash Wednesday. There are some small updates to the schedule on Wednesday nights that you should know about: We will still have Confirmation during Lent. We will meet at 6:00 pm so that we can have class before service. We will grab soup and then head down to the Library for class. This starts on the 18th. There will be activities for younger children during the service at 7:00 pm. They will be reading the same stories as we are talking about in the service and doing activities that reinforce the story. Come join us for the Lenten services! 15
