Throughout the month of March we are depending on the families whose last names begin with A - J to bring the food for our fellowship meals and to assist in the work of leaving our great room and kitchen neat and clean. Thank you, everyone! (Church School classes are not meeting during Lent and Holy Week. They will resume on April 23 rd.)

2 THE CHURCH GROUNDS CLEAN-UP we had planned for today has been postponed due to the return of cold weather. The new date for this event is SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 11:45 AM 1:00 PM. On that day, bring your work clothes, work gloves, rakes and shovels. All ages are invited to help! Donuts and beverages will be served. Today, 11:45 AM 12:30 PM Rehearsal in the parish house for the program at the Illinois Youth Detention Center The Illinois Youth Detention Center, a state facility for young women, is located about 5 miles from our church. Recently, after much prayer and consideration, we contacted the administration of the center and asked if they would be open to our presenting a program of music and readings there. Those in charge answered us immediately, inviting us to come as soon as possible. Six women from our parish have been cleared to enter the facility and will present the first program there on March 26 th. We would be very grateful for your prayers as we undertake this outreach that we do in obedience to our Lord s words, I was in prison and you came to me Inasmuch as you did it to these my brethren, you did it to Me. You may wish to bring a pencil light in order to see the service book and participate in the prayers and hymns. Please make every effort to come to confession before Holy Week begins. 4 During Lent the Church instructs us to not only be involved in the services at the church but to undertake fasting, prayer and alms giving on a daily basis. These Christian disciplines go perfectly together. Please pick up a coin box from the table in the foyer and talk with your family at home about how our Lord calls us to give to the poor in His Name. We will bring our coin boxes at Pascha and our Archdiocese will distribute the funds to the places in the world that are presently in the most need. Sunday, March 26, 11:45 AM 1:00 PM CHURCH GROUNDS CLEAN-UP Thursday, April 13, 1:00 AM HOLY THURSDAY MORNING Our +Bishop ANTHONY will be with us for The Liturgy for the Mystical Supper of Christ. As a part of this Liturgy, Jeremy Stevens will be tonsured as a Subdeacon in the Orthodox Church. Jeremy has been a faithful altar server and for the past 2 years has served as Headof Altar. You will

5 not want to miss this blessed event for which we give our thanks to God. Following the service we will have a Lenten Lunch with +Bishop ANTHONY, with our Sbdn. Jeremy, and guests who will be coming for this wonderful occasion.
