5 Nehemiah s Prayer (Nehemiah 11:4-11) I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father s house and I have sinned. We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.

6 Nehemiah s Prayer (Nehemiah 11:4-11) Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name. Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand. O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.

7 I sought after You, from the depths of my heart طلبتك من عمق قلبي يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. حل عني رباطات الخطية يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Be a help to me, so that You may save me, my Lord Jesus, help me. + May Your goodness, come speedily to me, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me. ظل ل علي بظ ل جناحيك يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. في ستة أيام صنعت كل الخليقة يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Seven times everyday, I will praise Your name, my Lord Jesus, help me. + All the creation, glorifies Your name, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me. لك الربوبية والسلطان يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. أسرع يا إلهي لتخلصني يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Every knee, bows down before You, my Lord Jesus, help me. + All the diverse tongues, together bless Your name, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me. إصرف وجهك عن خطاياي يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. جميع آثامي يا هللا إمحها يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + You know my thoughts, and You search my depths, my Lord Jesus, help me. + Create in me, a clean heart, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me.

8 I sought after You, from the depths of my heart روحك القدوس ال تنزعه من ي يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. أم ل سمعك إلي وإستجب لي عاجلا يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Set before me a law, in the way of Your justice, my Lord Jesus, help me. + Your kingdom O my God, is an eternal kingdom, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me. أنت إبن هللا آمنت بك يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. يا حامل خطية العالم إرحمني يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Forgive me the multitude, of my transgressions, my Lord Jesus, help me. + All of the souls, together bless Your name, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me. تأن علي وال تهلكني سريعاا يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. أقوم وقت السحر ألبارك إسمك يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Your yoke is sweet, and Your burden is light, my Lord Jesus, help me. + In the accepted time, hear me, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me. محبوب هو إسمك القدوس يا ربي يسوع أعن ي. فر ق عن ي كل األبالسة يا ربي يسوع المسيح أعن ي. + Sow within me, the seed of Your righteousness, my Lord Jesus, help me. + Grant us Your true peace, and forgive us our sins, my Lord Jesus Christ, help me.

9 St. Ephrem the Syrian s Prayer O Lord, Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, have compassion and mercy on Your sinful servant and pardon my unworthiness, and forgive me all the sins that I humanly committed today, and not only humanly but even worse than a beast - my voluntary sins, known and unknown, from my youth and from evil suggestions, and from my shamelessness, and from boredom. If I have sworn by Your Name or blasphemed it in thought, blamed or reproached anyone, or in my anger have detracted or slandered anyone, or grieved anyone, or if I have got angry about anything, or have told a lie, if I have slept unnecessarily, or if a beggar has come to me and I despised or neglected him, or if I have troubled my brother or angrily argued with him, or if I have condemned anyone, or have boasted, or have been proud, or lost my temper with anyone, or if when standing in prayer my mind has been distracted by the glamour of this world,

10 St. Ephrem the Syrian s Prayer or if I have had depraved thoughts or have overeaten, or have drank excessively, or have laughed frivolously, or have thought evil, or have seen the attraction of someone and been wounded by it in my heart, or said indecent things, or made fun of my brother's sin when my own faults are countless, or been neglectful of prayer, or have done some other wrong that I cannot remember - for I have done all this and much more - have mercy, my Lord and Creator, on me Your poor and unworthy servant, and absolve and forgive and deliver me in Your goodness and love for men, so that, lustful, sinful and poor as I am, I may lie down and sleep and rest in peace. And I shall worship, praise and glorify Your most honorable Name, with the Father and His only-begotten Son, now and ever, and for all ages and to the ages of ages. Amen.

12 Conclusion of every hour Have mercy on us, O God, and have mercy on us, who, at all times and in every hour, in heaven and on earth, is worshipped and glorified, Christ our God, the good, the long suffering, the abundant in mercy, and the great in compassion, who loves the righteous and has mercy on the sinners of whom I am chief; who does not wish the death of the sinner but rather that he returns and lives, who calls all to salvation for the promise of the blessings to come. Lord receive from us our prayers in this hour and in every hour. Ease our life and guide us to fulfill Your commandments. Sanctify our spirits. Cleanse our bodies. Conduct our thoughts. Purify our intentions. Heal our diseases. Forgive our sins. Deliver us from every evil grief and distress of heart. Surround us by Your holy angels, that, by their camp, we may be guarded and guided, and attain the unity of faith, and the knowledge of Your imperceptible and infinite glory. For You are blessed forever. Amen.
