3 Discipline Policy * DRE= Director of Religious Education 1. Minor discipline problems are handled directly by the catechist in the classroom. 2. The first time a major problem occurs, the student is dismissed from class and reports to the DRE office. The DRE meets with the student to discuss the problem and possible solutions. The student remains in the office for the reminder of that class. The DRE will also visit with catechist after class that night. Parents will be contacted regarding the disciplinary action. 3. If the student s asked to leave class a second time, he or she again will report to the DRE s office. The DRE will again visit with the student and talk with the catchiest. Parents are contacted, the student will not be allowed to attend class until a conference has been held with the parent, student, DRE and catechist. At the conference, options on disciplinary actions in the future will be presented and agreed upon by all present. Cell Phones: Students maybe asked to place their cell phones in a basket when they enter class this will be at the discretion of the Catechist. Attendance Policy Regular attendance at Faith Formation classes is very important for the continual spiritual growth. Please have children arrive 5 minutes early, arriving late is disruptive to the rest of the class. If you know your child will be late or gone please make sure you contact with the Director of Religious Education (DRE). Class Cancellation/Changes The rule of thumb is that when there is no school or students are sent home for severe weather we will NOT have Faith Formation classes. If a storm develops later in day, we will send s out, advertise on KAAL and social media. If any schedule changes come up we will sent home notice and parents.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. St. Michael the Archangel Prayer Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. 7 Ninth Grade: Act of Faith O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three divine persons, Father, Sone and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church teaches, because in revealing them you can neither deceive nor be deceived. Act of Hope O my God, relying on Your almighty power and infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, the help of Your grace and life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen. St. Francis Prayer. Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. Act of Love O my God, I love you above all things with my whole heart and soul because you are all good and worth of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of you. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen. Tenth Grade: Vocation Prayer O Lord, grant that I may know the vocation to which You have destined me from all eternity. Give me the courage to embrace it generously and to be faithful to it. From this moment I abandon myself to Your most holy will. Amen. Prayer to the Holy Spirit Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And you shall renew the face of the earth. Let us pray. O God, who have taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in his consolation. Through our Lord Jesu Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
