14 WITH ECUMENICAL PATRIARCH BARTHOLOMEW I - His Grace Bishop +MICHAEL was invited by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America to participate in a Patriarchal Vespers Service held in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Mutual Greetings & Blessings were exchanged from the SEC. This historic meeting may be one of the only times that a Hierarch from one of the smaller Orthodox Jurisdictions has been presented to the Ecumenical Patriarch! The photographs were taken by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and forwarded to Bishop +MICHAEL and the Standing Episcopal Conference. SYNOD MEETINGS OF THE SEC - Columbus, Ohio Between 1987 and 2001, two meetings of the Holy Synod of the SEC were held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. The above photos show His Eminence +DAVID-FRANCIS (in Western Rite vestments) and His Eminence Metropolitan +YURI (Spaeth) in 1989 and His Eminence Metropolitan +NIKOLAS (Ilnyckyj) and, from Australia, His Eminence +DAVID-FRANCIS (Corbett) in 2001.

15 PASTORAL VISITATION - Coleman, Michigan Visiting with His Grace +MARTIN (de Porres) at the Monastery in Michigan. PRESENTING OUR LORD TO THE GRAND MASTER 2008 Bishop +MICHAEL was honoured to present a Holy Icon of Our Blessed Lord to Grand Master YAUN to be housed at their temple in Columbus, Ohio. The wording below the Icon, in English & Chinese, speaks about Christ and His Saving Cross! Upon the Grand Master s return to Malaysia, he requested 60 additional Holy Icons to be placed in all of their temples throughout the world.
