Garcia, Retired Bishop John McCarthy, Worthy Master, Reverend Fathers, Sir Knights and Ladies: Spring 2018 Exemplification, Congratulations to the Worthy Master for the successful Spring 2018 Exemplification at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Austin, on March 10. The ceremony went off without a hitch and was professionally done by the Degree Team, reflecting the leadership of Worthy Master, SK Michael Moreno and the Worthy Marshalls. The Exemplification produced 45 new Sir Knights, of which 11 are new members of Bishop Louis J. Reicher Assembly. Please welcome them to our Assembly. Their Names are listed on page 3 Assembly Prayer List Officers 5 4 Assembly Social We had a social gathering to welcome the new Sir Knights on March 14, at the Lenten Fish Meal at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. The meal was delicious and the fellowship and camaraderie were enjoyable. Thanks to all who attended. Easter By the time you read this, the celebration of the most holy and defining event in Christianity will be behind us for this year. Thanks to all Sir Knights who were able to attend the Chrism Mass at St. Vincent de Paul, Holy Thursday and Easter Masses at the Cathedral. I was unable to attend since I am spending Easter with My Grandson and his family in Warrenton, Virginia, and attending Masses at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Biennial District Meeting The Worthy Master has announced that the Biennial District Meeting, which is held in even numbered years, will be on April 7, 2018, at St Mary Catholic Church in Caldwell, Texas. One purpose of the meeting is to select a new Sir Knight who will serve as the District Master for the next two years. Each Assembly is given a number of voting members based on Assembly membership. Bishop Reicher Assembly is the only Assembly to have four voting members. If you would like to attend and help select the new Master, please contact me by (bilroberts@hotmail.com) or text message ( ). As we near the end of the Fraternal Year, there are some important tasks to finish and to prepare for the next year. One of the tasks is to elect new officers.
