(Repeat Thrice) ව දන ග ථ Vandanā gāthā ණ ව ම Buduguṇa vжňdīma (Buddha vandanā) ඉ ස ගව අර ස ම ස ධ Itipiso bhagavā arahaṃ sammā sambuddho Such indeed, is that Blessed one exhaled; omniseient, endowed with knowledge and virtue, auspicious, Благословенному, достойному в совершенстве пробудившемуся ජ චරණ ස ප න ග ත ල ක Vijjācaraṇa sampanno sugato lokavidū knower of worlds, a guide incomparable for the training of individuals අ ත ර සද ම ස ර Anuttaro purisadamma sārathi teacher of gods and humans, enlightened, and Holy. ස ථ දව ම ස න ද ධ ගව Satthā deva manussānaṃ buddho bhagavāti Such indeed is the Blessed one, Exalted, perfectly Enlightened one, Endowed with knowledge and virtue, well gone, knower of the worlds. A Guide incomparable for the training of individuals, Teacher of gods and men, Enlightened and Holy. ධ ත ය ව බ ණ සරණ ග ඡ Buddhaṃ jīvitam yāva nibbāṇaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi To life's end, my Refuge is the Buddha. ය ච ධ අ ත ච ය ච ධ අන ගත

4 4 of 26 Ye ca buddhā atītāca ye ca buddhā anāgatā The Buddhas of the ages past The Buddhas that are yet to come, ප ප න ච ය ධ අ ව ද ස බද Paccuppannā ca ye buddhā ahaṃ vandāmi sabbadā The Buddhas of the present age, Lowly, I each day, adore! න ම සරණ අ ධ ම සරණ වර Natthi me saraṇaṃ aссaṃ buddho me saraṇaṃ varaṃ No other Refuge do I seek, Buddha is my matcheless Refuge; එ තන ස ච ව ජන ත ජයම ගල Etena sacca vajjena hotu te jaya-maṃgalaṃ By might of Truthj inthese my words May joyous victory be mine! උ තම ගන ව ද ප දප ව තම Uttamaṃgena vandehaṃ pādapaṃ suvaruttamaṃ With my brow I humbly worship The blest dust on His Holy Feet, ධ ය ඛ ත ද ස ධ ඛම ත මම Buddhe yo khalito doso buddho khamatu taṃ mamaṃ If Buddha I have wronged in aught, May the Enlightened forgive me! ද ණ ව ම Daham guṇa vжňdīma (Dhamma vandanā) ව ඛ ත ගවත ධ ම Svākkhāto bhagavatā dhammo Well-expounded is the Dhamma by the Blessed one, to be self-realised; ස ක අක ක Sandiṭṭhiko akāliko with immediate fruit, inviting all to "come and see" එ ප ක ඹපන ක Ehipassiko opanayiko worthy to be achieved, ප ච ත ව ත බ Paccattaṃ veditabbo viссūhīti to be attained by the wise, each for himself. ධ ම ත ය ව බ ණ සරණ ග ඡ Dhammaṃ jīvitam yāva nibbānaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi The Dhammas of the ages past, ය ච ධ ම අ ත ච ය ච ධ ම අන ගත Ye ca dhammā atītāca ye ca dhammā anāgatā The Dhammas that are yet to come, ප ප න ච ය ධ ම අ ව ද ස බද Paccuppannā ca ye dhammā ahaṃ vandāmi sabbadā The Dhammas of the present age, Lowly, I, each day, adore! න ම සරණ අ ධ ම ම සරණ වර Natthi me saraṇaṃ aссaṃ dhammo me saraṇaṃ varaṃ Dhamma is my matchless Refuge; එ තන ස ච ව ජන ත ජයම ගල Etena sacca vajjena hotu te jayamaṃgalaṃ By might of Truth in these my words, May joyous victory be mine! උ තම ගන ව ද ධ ම ච ධ වර Uttamaṃgena vandehaṃ dhammaṃca tividhaṃ varaṃ The Dhamma threefold and supreme, If Dhamma threefold and supreme, ධ ම ය ඛ ත ද ස ධ ම ඛම ත මම Dhamme yo khalito doso dhammo khamatu taṃ mamaṃ If Dhamma I have wronged in aught May Dhamma's acquittance be mine? ස ණ ව ම

5 5 of 26 Saňgun guṇa vжňdīma (Saṃgha vandanā) ප ප න ගව ත ස වක ස ඝ Supaṭipanno bhagavato sāvaka saṃgho The Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples who have practiced well, Община учеников Благословенного, следующих по хорошему пути උ ප ප න ගව ත ස වක ස ඝ Ujupaṭipanno bhagavato sāvaka saṃgho the Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples who have practiced straightforwardly, община учеников Благословенного, следующая по прямому пути යප ප න ගව ත ස වක ස ඝ Сāyapaṭipanno bhagavato sāvaka saṃgho the Saṅgha of the Blessed One's disciples who have practiced methodically, Община учеников Благословенного, следующая по верному пути ස ප ප න ගව ත ස වක ස ඝ Sāmīcipaṭipanno bhagavato sāvaka saṃgho the Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples who have practiced masterfully, Община учеников благословенного, следующая по совершенному пути ය ද ච ත ස ග අ ඨ ස ගල Yadidaṃcattārī purisa yugāni aṭṭha purisa puggalā i.e., the four pairs - the eight types - of Noble Ones: А именно четыре пары, восемь типов личностей. එස ගව ත ස වක ස ඝ Esa bhagavato sāvaka saṃgho That is the Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples - Такова община учеников Благословенного ආ ණය ප ණය ද ණ ය අ ජ කර ය Āhuṇeyyo pāhuṇeyyo dakkhiṇeyyo aṃjalikaraṇīyo worthy of gifts, worthy of hospitality, worthy of offerings, worthy of respect, достойная даров, достойная гостеприимства, достойная подаяния, достойная почтительного приветствия, අ තර ඛ ත ල ක ස Anuttaraṃ puссakkhettaṃ lokassati the incomparable field of merit for the world. несравненное поле заслуг для мира. ස ඝ ත ය ව බ ණ සරණ ග ඡ Saṃghaṃ jīvitam yāva nibbānaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi I worship most highly that Sangha, to that Sangha I bow my head down. The Sangha triply unrivalled, ස ඝ ය ඛ ත ද ස ස ඝ ඛම ත මම Saṃghe yo khalito doso saṃgho khamatu taṃ mamaṃ If Sangha I have wronged in aught May Sangha forgive me that all!

6 6 of 26 ප ජ ම Pahan pūjā kirīma (Padīpa pūjā) PAHAN PUJAVA Offering of Lights ඝණස ර ප ත න - පන තමධ න Ghaṇasārappa dittena - dīpena tamadhaṃsinā With camphor lights brightly shining, abolishing this gloom I adore the enlightened One, ල ක ප ස ධ - ජය ත ම ද Tiloka dīpaṃ sambuddhaṃ - pūjayāmi tamonudaṃ that Light of the Three worlds, who dispels the darkness (of ignoranee!) ම ජ ම Mal pūjā kirīma (Puppha pūjā) PUSPHA PUJAVA Offering of Flowers ව ණ ග ධ ණ පත - එත ම ස ත Vaṇṇa gandha guṇopetaṃ - etaṃ kusuma santatiṃ This mass of flowers, fresh hued, odorous and choice, ජය ද ස - ප ද ස ර Pūjayāmi munindassa - sirīpāda saroruhe I offer at the sacred lotus-like Feet of the Noble Sage. ජ ධ මන නන - න ම තන ලබ ම ඛ Pujemi buddhaṃ kusumena nena - puссena metena labāmi mokkhaṃ With diverse flowers, the Buddha, I adore; and through this merit may there be release. ඵ ල ය යථ ඉද ම - ක ය තථ ය න ස ව Pupphaṃ milāyāti yathā idamme - kāyo tathā yāti vināsabhāvaṃ Even as these flowers. must fade, so does my body march to a state of destruction. ව ජ ම Suvaňda dum pūjā kirīma (Sugandha pūjā) SUGANDHA PUJAVA Offering of Incense-sticks ග ක ය වදන - අන ත ණ ග න Sugandhikāya vadanaṃ - ananta guṇa gandhinaṃ With perfumed incense, compounded from odorous substances, ග න ග ධන - ජය තථ ගත Sugandhināhaṃ gandhena - pūjayāmi tathāgataṃ I revere the Exalted One,-worthy of reverence, a receptacle for offerings ප ජ ම Pжn pūjā kirīma (Pāniya pūjā) Offering of water අ ව ස න ත - ප ය ප ක ත Adhivāsetu no bhante - pānīyaṃ parikappitaṃ O, Lord! The blessed one. May this water be kindly accepted by you, අ ක ප උප ද ය - ප ග තම Anukampaṃ upādāya - patigaṇhātu muttamaṃ Out of great compassion for us ආ ර ජ ම Āhāra pūjā kirīma Offering of Food අ ව ස න ත - ජන ප ක ත Adhivāsetu no bhante - bhojanaṃ parikappitaṃ O,Lord! The Blessed One, May this food අ ක ප උප ද ය - ප ග තම Anukampaṃ upādāya - patigaṇhātu muttamaṃ Be kindly accepted by you, Out of great compassion for us.

7 7 of 26 ධ ච ය ව ම Trividha caitya vжňdīma (Cetiya vandanā) Saluation to the Three Main Objects of Veneration ව ද ච ය ස බ - ස බඨ න ප ත Vandāmi cetiyaṃ sabbaṃ - sabbaṭhānesu patiṭṭhitaṃ I salute every chetiya ( shrine ), That may stand in any place, ස කධ ම බ - ධ ප සකල සද Sārīrikadhātu mahābodhiṃ - buddharūpaṃ sakalaṃ sadā the bodily relics, The Great Bodhi, and all images of the Buddha. බ ය ව ම Bōdhiya vжňdīma (Bodhi vandanā) BODHI WANDANA Salutation to the Bodhi Tree ය ස ල න ව - ස බ ජය අක Yassamūle nisinnova - sabbārivijayaṃ akā Seated at whose base, the Teacher overcame all foes ප ත ස බ ත ස ථ - ව ද ත බ ප දප Patto sabbaссutaṃ satthā - vande taṃ bodhipādapaṃ attaining omniscience, even that Bodhi-tree do I adon. ඉ ම එ ත ම බ - ල කන ථන ත Ime ete mahābodhī - lokanāthena pūjitā Those great Trees of Enlightenment, revereced by Lord of the World, අ ත නම ස - බ ර ජ නම ත Ahaṃpi te namassāmi - bodhirājā namatthu te I too shall salute you! may there be homage to you, О Royal Bodhis! ස ස ය ව ම Satsatiya vжňdīma පඨම බ ප ල ක - ය ච අ ස Paṭhamaṃ bodhipallaṃkaṃ - dutiyaṃ ca animmisaṃ ත ය ච කමණ ස ඨ - ච ථ රතන ඝර Tatiyaṃ caṃkamanaṃ seṭṭhaṃ - catutthaṃ ratanāgharaṃ ප චම අජප ල ච - ච දන ඡ ඨම Paṃcamaṃ ajapālaṃ ca - mucalindena chaṭṭhamaṃ ස තම ර ජ යතන - ව දත ස ත Sattamaṃ rājāyatanaṃ - vandetaṃ munisevitaṃ ස ළ ම ථ න ව ම Soḷos mahā sthāna vжňdīma මය ගණ න ග ප කල ණ පද ල චන Mayyaṃgaṇaṃ nāgadīpaṃ kalyāṇaṃ pada lāṃcanaṃ ව ඝව ච ය ච ය ගණ Divāguhaṃ dīghavāpī cetiyaṃ ca mutiyaṃgaṇaṃ සම ර ච බ ම සව ය Tissamahā vihāraṃ ca bodhiṃ marisavaṭṭiyaṃ ව ණම ම ච ය ප ර ම ය Svaṇṇamālī mahā cetiyaṃ thūpārāma bhayāgiriṃ ජ වන සල ච ය තථ ක චරග මක

May they be happy! 10 10 of 26 Puссaṃ taṃ anumoditvā - ciraṃ rakkhantu desanaṃ ආක ස ඨ ච ම ඨ - ද ව න ග ම ක Ākāsaṭṭhā ca bhummaṭṭhā - devā nāgā mahidhikā ත අ ම ව - ර ර ඛ ම පර Puссaṃ taṃ anumoditvā - ciraṃ rakkhantu maṃparaṃ ර න ව Prārthanāva ඉ න ක මන - ම ම බ ලසම ග ම Iminā puссakammena - mā me bālasamāgamo සත සම ග ම - ය ව බ ණ ය Sataṃ samāgamo hotu - yāva nibbāna pittiyā ඉද ම - ආසව ඛය ව /// Idaṃ me puссaṃ - āsavakkhayā vahaṃ hotu (3x) ස බ ඛ ප ච Sabba dukkhā pamuccatu ම ම ගල ත (Mahā maṃgala suttaṃ) එව ම ත එක සමය ගව ස ව ය ර ජතව න අන ථ ක ස Evaṃ me sutaṃ ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāva-tthiyaṃ viha-rati jeta-vane anātha piṇḍikassa Thus I have heard: On onne occasion the Blassed One, was dwelling at the monastery of Anathapindika ආර ම අථ ඛ අ තර දවත අ ක ත ය ර ය Ārāme athakho aссa-tarā deva-tā abhi-kkantāya rattiyā in Jeta^s Grove near Savatthi. අ ක තව ණ කවලක ප ජතවන ඹ ස ව යන ගව Abhi-kkanta-vaṇṇā keva-lakappaṃ jeta-vanaṃ obhā-setvā yena bhagavā When the night far splent, a certan deity whose surpassing splendour illuminated the entre Jeta Grove, ත පස ක උපස ක තව ගව ත අ ව ද ව එකම ත අ ඨ Tenu-pasaṃ-kami upa-saṃka-mitvā bhaga-vantaṃ abhi-vādetvā eka-mantaṃ aṭṭhāsi came to the presnce ot yhe Blassed One, එකම ත ත ඛ ස දවත ගව ත ග ථ ය අ ඣ Eka-mantaṃ ṭhitā kho sā devatā bhaga-vantaṃ gāthāya ajjha-bhāsī and drawing near, respectfully saluted and බ ද ව ම ස ච ම ගල අ තය Bahūdevā manussāca maṃga-lāni acin-tayuṃ stood at one side. Standing this he ආක ඛම න ස ථ න ම ගල තම Ākaṃ-khamānā sotthānaṃ brūhi maṃgala muttamaṃ he adressed the Blessed One in verse: අ සවන ච බ ල න ප ත න ච සවන Ase-vanā ca bālānaṃ paṇḍi-tānaṃca sevanā Many deites and manyearing after good, have poundered on Blessing ජ ච ජ ය න එත ම ගල තම Pūjā ca pūjanī-yānaṃ etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ Pray, tell me the Supreme Blessing. ප ප දස ව ස ච බ ච කත ත Pati-rūpa-desa vāso ca pubbe ca kata puссatā

11 11 of 26 Not to follow or associate with the wise, andhonour those who are worthy of honour. අ ත ස ම ප ච එත ම ගල තම Atta sammā paṇidhi ca etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ This is the Supreme Blessing බ ස ච ච ප ච න ය ච ත Bāhu-saccaṃ ca sippaṃ ca vinayo ca susi-kkhito To reside in a suiteble locality, ත ච ය ව ච එත ම ගල තම Subhā-sitā ca yā vācā etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ to have done meritorious action in the past and to have set oneself on the right course. ම ත උප ඨ න තද ර ස ස ඝ Mātā pitu upa-ṭṭhānaṃ putta-dārassa saṃghaho Vast learning, perfect handicraft, අන ල ච ක ම ත එත ම ගල තම Anā-kulā ca kammantā etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ and pleasant speech. That is the supreme Blessing. ද න ච ධ මච ය ච තක න ච ස ග Dānāṃca dhamma-cari-yāca сāta-kānaṃca saṃgaho The support of the father and mother, the cherishing of wife and children අනව ජ ක ම එත ම ගල තම Ana-vajjāni kammāni etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ and peaceful occupations, This is the Supreme Blessing. ආර ර ප ප ම ජප න ච ස ය ම Āratī viratī pāpā majja-pānā ca saṃyamo To cease and abstain from evil, fordearance with respect to intoxicants අ පම ද ච ධ ම එත ම ගල තම Appa-mādo ca dhammesu etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ and steadfastness in virtue. This is the Supreme Blessing. ග ර ව ච ව ත ච ස ච කත ත Gāravo ca nivāto ca santuṭṭhi ca kata-ссutā Reverence, humility, contentment, gratitude ක ලන ධ ම සවණ එත ම ගල තම Kālena dhamma savaṇaṃ etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ and opportune hearing of the Dhamma, This is the Supreme Blessing. ඛ ච ස වච සත සමණ න ච ද සන Khantī ca sovaca-ssatā sama-ṇānaṃ ca dassanaṃ Patience, obedience, sight of the Samanas(holy men) ක ලන ධ ම ස ක ඡ එත ම ගල තම Kālena dhamma sākacchā etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ and religious discussions at due season. This is the Supreme Blessing. ත ප ච මච ය ච අ යස ච න ද සන Tapoca brahma-cariyaṃ ca ari-yasa-ccāna dassanaṃ Self-control, pure life, perception of the Noble Truths බ ණ ස ච ය එත ම ගල තම Nibbāṇa sacca-kiriyā ca etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ and realisation of Nibbana This is the Supreme Blessing. ඨ ස ල කධ ම ත ය ස න ක ප Phuṭṭhassa loka-dhammehi cittaṃ yassa na kampati He whose mind does not fluther, by contact with wordly contingencies, අ ස ක රජ ඛම එත ම ගල තම Asokaṃ virajaṃ khemaṃ etaṃ maṃgala muttamaṃ sorrowless, stainless and secure, This is the Supreme Blessign. එත ස ක ව න ස බ ථමපර ත Etā-disāni katvāna sabba-tthama-parā-jitā

12 12 of 26 To them fulfilling matters such as these, everywere invincible, ස බ ථ ස ග ඡ ත තස ම ගල තම Sabbattha sotthiṃ gacchanti taṃ tesaṃ maṃgala muttamanti in everywere invincible, in every way moving happily. This is the Supreme Blessing. එ තන ස ච ව ජන ස ත ස බද Etena sacca vajjena sotthi te hotu sabbadā එ තන ස ච ව ජන ත ජයම ගල Etena sacca vajjena hotu te jayamaṃgalaṃ එ තන ස ච ව ජන ස බඩ ර ග න ස Etena sacca vajjena sabbaḍarogo vinassatu රතන ත (Ratana suttaṃ) ය ධ ත සම ගත Yānīdha bhūtāni samā-gatāni Whatsoever beings are assembled here, whether terrestrial or ම ව ය ව අ ත ඛ Bhummāni vā yāni va anta-likkhe celestial, may they be happy; ස බව ත මන ව Sabbeva bhūtā sumanā bhavantu moreover may they attentively අ ථ ස ක ච ණ ත Athopi sakkacca suṇantu bhāsitaṃ listen to these sacred words. ත ම ත ස මථ ස බ Tasmā hi bhūtā nisā-metha sabbe Therefore, oh deities, listen, all of you. ම ත ක ර ථ ම ය පජ ය Mettaṃ karotha mānu-siyā pajāya Radiate loving kindness towards human beings. ව ච ර ත ච ර ය බ Divā ca ratto ca haranti ye baliṃ They bring offerings to you day and night. ත ම න ර ඛත අ පම ත Tasmā hi ne rakkhata appa-mattā So protect them diligently. ය ත ඉධ ව ර ව Yaṃ kiсci vittaṃ idha vā huraṃ vā Whatever treasure there be either here or in the world beyond, ස ග ව ය රතන ප ත Saggesu vā yaṃ ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ or whatever precious jewel there be in the heavenly world, න න සම අ තථ ගත න Na no samaṃ atthi tathā-gatena there is none equal to the Accomplished One. ඉද ධ රතන ප ත Idampi buddhe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ In the Buddha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu

13 13 of 26 By this truth, may there be happiness. ඛය ර ග අමත ප ත Khayaṃ virāgaṃ amataṃ paṇītaṃ The peaceful Sage of the Sakyas realized the Nibbana which is the cessation of defilements යද ඣග සක සම ත Yada-jjhagā sakya-munī samā-hito free from passion, deathless and supreme. න ත න ධ මන සම Na tena dhammena samatthi kiсci There is nothing equal to that State. ඉද ධ ම රතන ප ත Idampi dhamme ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Dhamma is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ය ධ ස ඨ ප ව ණ Yambuddha-seṭṭho pari-vaṇṇayī suciṃ The Supreme Buddha praised the pure concentration of the noble path සම ම න ත ක ම Samā-dhimā-nanta-rika-ссamāhu and the Buddhas described it as giving result immediately. ම න තන ස ම න ව ජ Samā-dhinā tena samona vijjati There is nothing equal to that concentration. ඉද ධ ම රතන ප ත Idampi dhamme ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Dhamma is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ය ගල අ ඨ සත පස ථ Ye puggalā aṭṭha sataṃ pasatthā The eight individuals, who are praised by ච ත එත ග Cattāri etāni yugāni honti the most virtuous, constitute four pairs; ත ද ණය ගත ස ස වක Te dakkhi-ṇeyyā suga-tassa sāvakā they are the disciples of the Buddha and most worthy of offerings; එත න ම ඵල Etesu dinnāni maha-pphalānī gifts made to them yield rich results. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ය ප ත මනස දළ න Ye suppa-yuttā manasā daḷhena Those, who have strived on with a steadfast mind during the Dispensation of Gotama Buddha, ක න ග තම ස සන Nikkā-mino gotama sāsa-namhi

14 14 of 26 have been liberated from passions; ත ප ප ත අමත ග Te patti-pattā amataṃ vigayha they have attained the highest state and the deathless state; ල ධ ධ ම න Laddhā mudhā nibbutiṃ bhuссamānā ; they took delight in perfect peace, which is obtained without obligation. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එත න ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ය ද ල පඨ ත ය Yathin-dakhīlo paṭhaviṃ sito siyā Just as the post is firmly planted in the earth, ච ව ත අස පක ය Catubhi vātehi asam-pakam-piyo cannot be shaken by the winds from four directions; ත පම ස ස වද Tathū-pamaṃ sappu-risaṃ vadāmi so, I declare that the righteous person is not shaken ය අ යස ච අ ව ච ප ස Yo ari-yasa-ccāni avecca passati who thoroughly sees the Noble Truths. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ය අ යස ච වය Ye ari-yasa-ccāni vibhā-vayanti Those who have comprehended the Noble Truths, ග රප න ද ත Gambhī-rapa-ссena sude-sitāni well taught by the Buddha of profound wisdom, ච ත ස පම ත Kiсcāpi te honti bhusappamattā however extremely heedless they may be ; න ත ව අ ඨම ආ ය Na te bhavaṃ aṭṭhamaṃ ādi-yanti they do not take an eight rebirth. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ස ව ස ද සන ස පද ය Sahā-vassa dassana sampa-dāya Similarly, with his attainment of the First Path, තය ධ ම ජ ත ව Tayassu dhammā jahitā bhavanti

15 15 of 26 the three mental defilements are abandoned, namely, ස ක ය ත ච Sakkā-yadiṭṭhi vici-kicchi-taсca self-illussion, doubt and indulgence in wrong habits and practices. ල බත ව යද Sīla-bbataṃ vāpi yadatthi kiсci Also he abandons some other defilements. ච ප ය ච ප ත Catū-hapā-yehi ca vippa-mutto He is entirely free from the four woeful states ඡච ථ න අ බ ක Chacā-bhiṭhā-nāni abhabbo kātuṃ and is incapable of committing the six major wrong actions. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එත න ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ච ස ක ම ක ර ප පක Kiсcāpi so kammaṃ karoti pāpakaṃ Although he may do evil action, either by body, speech or mind, ක යන ව ච උද චතස ව Kāyena vācā udacetasā vā he is incapable of hiding it. අ බ ස ත ස ප ඡ ද ය Abhabbo so tassa paṭi-cchādāya The Buddha has declared that hiding such a wrong doing අ බත ඨපද ස ත Abha-bbatā diṭṭha-padassa vuttā is incapable of a person who has seen Nibbana with Noble Path. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. වන ප බ යථ ත ග Vana-ppagumbe yathā phussi-tagge Just as the woodland grove is blossoming out at the treetops න ම ස පඨම Gimhāna māse paṭha-masmiṃ gimhe in the first month of summer ත පම ධ මවර අ දස Tathū-pamaṃ dhamma-varaṃ ade-sayī and delights with the impressive beauties බ ණග පරම ත ය Nibbā-ṇagāmiṃ paramaṃ hitāya even so the sublime doctrine leads to Nibbana, ඉද ධ රතන ප ත Idampi buddhe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Buddha is this precious jewel. එත න ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu

16 16 of 26 By this utterance of truth, may there by happiness. ව ර වර වර ද වර ර Varo varaссū varado varā-haro The Glorious One (Buddha), who knows the glory, delivers the glory, අ ත ර ධ මවර අ දස Anuttaro dhamma-varaṃ ade-sayi brings the glory, peerlessly expounds the glorious doctrine. ඉද ධ රතන ප ත Idampi buddhe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Buddha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ණ ර ණ නව න ස ව Khīṇaṃ purāṇaṃ navaṃ natthi sambhavaṃ Their past kamma (action) is exhausted and the new kamma arises no more; their minds are not attached to a future birth; ර ත ත ආය ක ව Viratta cittā āya-tike bhavasmiṃ they have extinguished the seed of rebirth; ත ණ ජ අ ඡ ද Te khīṇa-bījā avi-rūḷhi-cchandā their desire for rebirth does not grow. බ ර යථ ය ප ප Nibbanti dhīrā yathā-yampa-dīpo These wise ones go out for perfect peace, even as the lamp burns out. ඉද ස ඝ රතන ප ත Idampi saṃghe ratanaṃ paṇītaṃ Also in the Samgha is this precious jewel. එ තන ස චන ව Etena saccena suvatthi hotu By this utterance of truth, may there be happiness. ය ධ ත සම ගත Yānīdha bhūtāni samā-gatāni Whatsoever beings are assembled here, whether terrestrial or celestial, ම ව ය ව අ ත ඛ Bhummāni vā yāni va anta-likkhe let all of us pay homage to the accomplished තථ ගත දව ම ස ත Tathā-gataṃ deva manussa pūjitaṃ Buddha honoured by gods and men. ධ නම ස ම ව Buddhaṃ nama-ssāma suvatthi hotu May there be happiness. ය ධ ත සම ගත Yānīdha bhūtāni samā-gatāni Whatsoever beings are assembled here, ම ව ය ව අ ත ඛ Bhummāni vā yāni va anta-likkhe, whether terrestrial or celestial, තථ ගත දව ම ස ත Tathā-gataṃ deva manussa pūjitaṃ let all of us pay homage to the accomplished ධ ම නම ස ම ව Dhammaṃ nama-ssāma suvatthi hotu

May there be happiness. ය ධ ත සම ගත Yānīdha bhūtāni samā-gatāni Whatsoever beings are assembled here, ම ව ය ව අ ත ඛ Bhummāni vā yāni va anta-likkhe whether terrestrial or celestial, තථ ගත දව ම ස ත Tathā-gataṃ deva manussa pūjitaṃ let all of us pay homage to the accomplished ස ඝ නම ස ම ව Saṃghaṃ nama-ssāma suvatthi hotu-ti Samgha honoured by gods and men. May there be happiness. එ තන ස ච ව ජන ස බ ඛ න ස Etena sacca vajjena sabba dukkhaṃ vinassatu එත න ස ච ව ජන ස බ ය න ස Etena sacca vajjena sabba bhayo vinassatu එ තන ස ච ව ජන ස බ ර ග න ස Etena sacca vajjena sabba rogo vinassatu කර ය ම ත ත (Karaṇīya metta suttaṃ) {Handa mayaṃ karaṇīyamettāsuttaṃ bhaṇāma se} කර යම ථ ස ලන ය ත ස ත පද අ ස ම ච Kara-ṇīya-mattha kusa-lena yaṃ taṃ santaṃ padaṃ abhi-samecca He who is skilled in doing good & who wishes to attain that state of calm (i.e. Nibbana) should act thus. Удовлетворенным и нетребовательным, с немногими обязанностями, живя легко, ස ය ච ප ක ච අ පග ල අන ධ Santin-driyo ca nipako ca appa-gabbho kulesu ana-nugi-ddho Controlled in senses, discreet, not impudent; Not greedily attached to families. Со спокойным умом, умелым, скромным, и не жаждая сторонников. න ච ද සම ච ර යන ප ර උපව ද Na ca khuddaṃ samā-care kiсci yena viссū pare upa-vadeyyuṃ He should not commit any slight wrong, so that other wise men might find fault in him. Не делайте ни малейшей вещи, которую мудрые бы осудили. න ව ඛ න ස බ ස ත ව ත ත Sukhino vā khemino hontu sabbe sattā bhavantu sukhi-tattā May all beings be happy and safe, may their hearts be wholesome. Думайте: счастливые, в покое, пусть все существа будут счастливы сердцем. ය ක ප ණ ත තස ව ථ වර ව අනව සස Ye keci pāṇa-bhūtatthī tasā vā thāvarā vā ana-vasesā Whatsoever living beings there are; feeble or strong, long, stout or medium, Какие бы ни были существа, слабые или сильные, все без исключения, ඝ ව ය ම ත ව ම ම ර ස ඛ ක ල

18 18 of 26 Dīghā vā ye mahantā vā majjhimā rassa khāṇu-kathūlā short, small or large, seen or unseen. Длинные, большие, средние, короткие, тонкие, явные, ඨ ව යච අ ඨ ය ච ර වස අ ර Diṭṭhā vā yeca adiṭṭhā ye ca dūre vasanti avidūre Those dwelling far or near, those who are born and those who are to be born. Видимые и невидимые, близко и далеко, ත ව ස ව ව ස බ ස ත ව ත ත Bhūtā vā sambha-vesī vā sabbe sattā bhavantu sukhi-tattā May all beings, without exception, be happy minded. Рожденные и стремящиеся к рождению: пусть все существа будут счастливы. නප ර පර බථ න ම ථ ක ථ න ක Naparo paraṃ niku-bbetha nāti-maссetha katthaci naṃ kaсci Let not one deceive another nor despise any person whatsoever in any place. Не позволяйте никому обманывать других или презирать кого-то, где бы то ни было, බ ර සන ප ඝස න ම ස ඛ ඡය Byāro-sanā paṭi-ghasaссā nāссa-maссassa dukkha-miccheyya In anger or ill-will, let him not wish any harm to another. Или из-за возмущения или раздражения желать, чтобы другие страдали. ම ත යථ ය ත ආ ස එක ත ම ර ඛ Mātā yathā niyaṃ puttaṃ āyusā eka-putta manu-rakkhe Just as a mother would protect her only child at the risk of her own life, Как мать готова рисковать жизнью, защищая своего ребенка, единственного ребенка, එව ස බ ත ම නස ව ය අප ම ණ Evampi sabba bhūtesu mānasaṃ bhāvaye apa-rimāṇaṃ even so let him cultivate a boundless heart towards all beings. Так по отношению ко всем существам нужно развивать безграничное сердце. ම ත ච ස බ ල ක ම නස ව ය අප ම ණ Mettaṃ ca sabba loka-smiṃ mānasaṃ bhāvaye apa-rimāṇaṃ Let thoughts of boundless love pervade the whole world; С доброй волей ко всей вселенной, развивайте безграничное сердце: උ ධ අ ධ ච ය ච අස ප ධ අ වර අසප ත Uddhaṃ adho ca tiri-yaсca asam-bādhaṃ averaṃ asa-pattaṃ above, bellow & across without any obstruction, without any hatred, without any enmity. Вверху, внизу, и повсюду вокруг, без ограничений, враждебности или ненависти. ඨ චර න ව සය න ව ය වත ස ගත ධ Tiṭṭhaṃ caraṃ nisinno vā sayāno vā yāva-tassa viga-tamiddho Whether he stands, walks, sits or lies down, as long as he is awake, he should develop this mindfulness. 25 25 of 26 Sabbe taṃ anumo-ditvā samaggā sāsane ratā and especially do not neglect in protecting the world. පම දර ත ආර ඛ සස ත Pamā-dara-hitā hontu ārak-khāsu vise-sato May there always be prosperity for the Buddha's Dispensation and the world. ස සන ස ච ල ක ස ව ස බද Sāsa-nassa ca lokassa vuḍḍhī bhavatu sabbadā May the deities forever protect the Buddha's Dispensation and the world. සසන ච ල ක ච දව ර ඛ ස බද Sasa-nampi ca lokaṃca devā rakkhantu sabbadā May all beings together with their retinues and relatives ස ස බ ප ව ර අ ත න Saddhiṃ hontu sukhī sabbe pari-vārehi attano be well and happy, joyful and free from suffering. අ ඝ ම න ස ස බ Anīghā sumanā hontu saha sabbehi сātihī May the deities take care to protect beings from dangers of evil kings, ර ජ ත ව ච ර ත ව ම ස ත ව අම ස ත ව අ ත ව Rājato vā corato vā manu-ssato vā amanu-ssato vā aggito vā, robbers, human beings, non-human beings, උදක ත ව ස ච ත ව ඛ ක ත ව ඛ ටක ත ව න ඛ ත ත ව Uda-kato vā pisā-cato vā khānu-kato vā khaṇṭa-kato vā nakkhattato vā ghosts, tree stumps, thorns, bad planets, ජනපද ර ත ව අස ධ ම ත ව අස ත ව අස ස ත ව Janapa-daro-gato vā asad-dhammato vā asan-diṭṭhito vā asap-puri-sato vā epidemics, false doctrines, wrong views, wicked persons, from wild elephants, ච ඩ අ ග ග ණ ර අ ක ම ස ප Caṇḍa-hatthi assa miga goṇa kukkura ahi vicchika maṇi sappa dīpi horses, deer, bulls, dogs, serpents, scorpions, poisonous snakes, leopards, bears, hyenas, අ ඡ තර ඡ සකර ම ස ය ඛ ර ඛස න න ය ත ව න න Accha taraccha sūkara mahisa yakkha rakkha-sādīhi nānā bhayato vā nānā boars, buffalos, ogres, devils and so forth. May the deities protect all human beings from all dangers, diseases and disasters. ර ග ත ව න න උප දව ත ව ආර ඛ ගණ Rogato vā nānā upadda-vato vā ārakkhaṃ gaṇhantu May those beings who suffer, be free from suffering. May those beings who are in fear be free from fear. ඛ ප ත ච ඛ යප ත ච ය Dukkha-ppattā ca niddukkhā bhaya-pattā ca nibbhayā May those beings who are in grief be free from grief. ස ක ප ත ච ස ක ස බ ප න Soka-ppattā ca nissokā hontu sabbe pi pānino To this extent, may all deities rejoice in එ ත වත ච අ ම ස ත ස පද Ettā-vatā ca ammehi sambhataṃ puссa-sampadaṃ the accomplishment of merits which we have thus fulfilled. ස බ දව අන ම ද ස බ ස ප ය Sabbe devā anumo-dantu sabba sampatti siddhiyā May you all practise generosity with confidence.
