3 The Gift of the Shadow As we have challenging or difficult situations occur in our lives, we start to develop protective skills that may serve a purpose at the time, but are hard to let go of once no longer needed. They can end up hindering our growth and can affect our ability to objectively view our current life circumstances. This is the shadow part of ourselves that we push away, ignore, or simply don t know exists. If we do acknowledge it, we tend to believe the shadow is buried deep away and is our 'Doctor Jekyl', or 'bad' side. The truth is that our shadow self is a part of ourselves we see everyday. We see it in our 'reactive' nature. It is the side of us that has been affected by our negative life experiences. It is not hard to see, but it is easy to overlook. It is your unconscious making choices for you that you may not notice until you have to clean up its mess! The shadow is not to be feared, but welcomed into our consciousness so we can shift our perception and so draw the loving and supportive life experiences we desire. Our shadow is friend, healer, and teacher.if we allow it to be. In your Shadow Report, you will find your shadow and shift your perception so you can see that what may be your biggest obstacle now, can actually be your greatest asset!

4 Overcoming areas of life that are out of balance, no matter how big or small the problems seem to be You are already on your way to setting new goals and creating new opportunities for yourself. By choosing an issue to focus on in your Shadow Report, you have opened a door of opportunity that will allow you to live your life the way you want it to be instead of jumping through hoops fashioned from old memories, old blocks and old stories that you've told yourself. As you read on, you will discover where your shadow was created, how it developed over time, different ways to heal your shadow self and ways to improve each new experience in life. All you need to do as you read through these pages is allow yourself to be open to the possibility of change.

5 What to expect with your Shadow Report When you reflect on your life s experiences have you ever noticed that you * have the same old patterns of behavior? * continuously encounter similar but different roadblocks? * still have habits that you do not care for? * have compulsive behaviors and/or obsessive behaviors? * are unable to commit to relationships? * experience co dependency? The reasons for these behaviors, feelings, and experiences are contained in your Shadow Report. You no longer have to worry or be afraid of facing these issues. As you work with your report, you ll find that each exercise listed is designed to facilitate healing and you will be able to track your progress with great accuracy. These questions will simply disappear as you allow your Shadow Self to become the teacher it is meant to be!

6 You are not alone Like you, throughout my life, I continuously had blocks that I found hard to break through. For instance, as a child, I always felt like there wasn't enough. When I was in first grade, the teacher would give two children three crayons to work with and then put the bucket with the rest of the crayons in the center of the table. When she walked away I would grab two more crayons to keep just in case something happened to the first two. Later in life, that feeling that there wasn t enough started to manifest in many different ways. When I would go to lunch I would take an extra banana or an extra piece of food just in case I didn't have something for later. When I would shop for clothes I would buy one white shirt for now and buy two or three white shirts just in case I didn't have enough. Obviously, feeling like that there isn't enough can easily lead to overspending and, oh my goodness, so much more! I realized this was starting to affect me in different ways and I couldn't understand why I was doing this or how it got started. As I learned about shadow work, I realized this was the perfect opportunity for me to see what this fear of not having enough was about, to discover why was I afraid, and to know where the fear came from. I'm a firm believer of working and learning with the shadow self. It has been a life- changing experience for me. Know you can work through your shadow self to find the gifts that await you. I did it and so can you!

7 The reality is there is always a choice With the help of your Shadow Report, you will learn to have the awareness of when thoughts and feelings come up that trigger pattern behavior/reactions. You will be able to understand the root of the problem. With the understanding of the root of the problem, you will be able to make sound, clear choices. You do not have to live in your past. You can make different choices!

8 How to Use Your Shadow Report Your Shadow Report will give you all the tools necessary to move forward in life and bridge the gap between your unconscious and conscious self; however, you must be ready to face your past without apprehension. This is a journey of spiritual growth; and so on this journey, your guides, angels, and Ascended Masters walk with you. As you face your shadow self, you are never alone and there is no race to get to the finish line. This journey is about the process, and each time we walk in our shadow we step further into the Light. When you receive your report, read it in full, without judgment and allow yourself time to integrate the information. Give yourself at least five days, reading the report each day, to really allow the new knowledge to merge with your conscious awareness. 16 About Melissa Frei As an Indigo child, Melissa found that she possessed gifts that other people didn t seem to have.
