One might ask why this is. Is there some dissatisfaction with the Church perhaps? The Grass roots movement is called the Freezone. The Freezone consists of people who have either been ousted from the church or left of their own accord as well as many people who have never even set foot inside a scientology church. It is call the Freezone because it is just that. Since the death of Ron Hubbard, Founder of Scientology, the church has undergone a radical change by the incumbent management. Deep philosophical changes in the religion different to what Hubbard set out have been made. Text has been a altered and some even omitted. Many of the scientologists in the Freezone have found it more beneficial to subscribe to the original philosophy rather than the new wave now emanating from the church. Many freezoners practice their philosophy very successfully and achieve outstanding results with the methods and practices as originally researched and developed by Hubbard. In fact there are groups around the planet which are expanding at a rapid rate. Unfortunately the church has become one of the most litigious in the world and seems, on the face of it, more concerned with copyright protection and acquiring property than in spreading the word. This seems to be having a devastating effect on the official church in terms of numbers and lack of expansion. That job now appears to have been taken over by the Freezone, who are going through a rapid expansion, even as the church is shrinking. The future of Scientology is going to be very interesting. Indeed, we may very well see the growing movement outside the church surpass the church in numbers and expansion as they focus heavily on the philosophy and less on the material aspects. Here is just a small selection. Science of Survival Book Win I know I mentioned this before, but I keep getting wins from this book. This is, without a doubt, one of the most profound and powerful books I have EVER read. Even the discussion of each of the columns of the chart is so amazing. The entire essence of a person is laid out in each. I know I am getting wiser and more in tune with myself, and my fellow man by reading it. God bless L. Ron Hubbard. I know there were a flurry of posts recently on this very subject, but really it cannot be overemphasized how incredibly, wonderfully fantastic it is to have a course room there! In the FZ. All the fun, all the ARC and camaraderie, all the wins I remember from being on course in COS, and none of the bullshit, none of the suppression! It's easy to take it for granted, but it could just as easily not be there! How many other FZ course rooms are there, extant, open for training 6 days a week every week? Mary Purif Win I've just finished the purification r/d, but really I feel like I've started something even bigger. I've had so many wins and cognitions I couldn't even adequately list them all. One thing is for certain - I have a clean body, and a clear mind, and am now more determined than ever to get up the Bridge and continue improving my body, mind and spirit. On top of that certainty, and the lighter, cleaner feeling I have physically, I have also lost weight, stopped smoking and abusing alcohol, and I don't even need caffeine anymore. What used to set me off before in a situation has no effect (cause over mental mass). Another Clear trait I recognize in myself is the increase in being able to have a bigger game and confront what it takes to play that game. One last thing is that I notice others who aren't clear yet, trying to operating underneath their mental MEST or bank. As such it is an ideal guide since it clearly outlines the various aspects of the technology with many illustrations and clear understandable English so it helps people to really understand how the technology works and how they can use it to better their life. The Guided Tour consists of carefully selected and edited chapters from these manuals to make the subject easier to understand for new readers. This book has been written and edited people who want to know more about the subject and are willing to spend some quality time to become familiar with the principles and methods. 5 Scientologists Freezone Newsletter 5 Volume 1 Issue 3 What do scientologists study? Scientologists study the applied philosophy of Lafayette Ron Hubbard. You hear many distorted ideas and tales in the media but in fact the basics of the philosophy include sound principles of living and an understanding of life. Such basic principles as the cycle of action, where all things in the universe follow a cycle of action of Start, Change and Stop. Where the common denominator of existence is Survival and how this affects how people go about their lives. Understanding what a person is and what they are capable of. Understanding also how to help people other improve their lives also. These are some of the basic principles of life which scientologists study. These principles, as well as basic axioms of life, are contained in the books which Lafayette Ron Hubbard wrote and are available from the usual book sources such as bookstores, ebay and even the church itself. Of course there are a great many more principles and axioms and much information on how these are applied and scientologists study these in books, tapes and in specific courses. Scientologists also study how to assist others in improving their lives by applying these basic principles to others. They do this by following strict guidelines of application and by asking a series of questions designed to assist a person to see aspects of their live which they would not normally look at and which, when viewed, enables the person to take more control over that area of their life. Very little of this makes its way to the media who are more interested in something more controversial and less mundane than people finding out about life and improving their life. Hence the real scientology tends to be not shown. Only the Tom Cruise style hype which contains no information about scientology at all.
