12 Current Status of JT in Automotive Industry OEM-Examples JT is used for visualisation and DMU. Vision: establish JT as process format in entire VW Group for all PD processes JT is primarily used for visualisation and DMU but will be extended. Vision: worldwide 3D container JT is internal 3D- processformat (all 3D-files have derived JTs) and is used for global partner-integration processes JT as central process format for product development and downstream JT is used for visualisation and Long Term Achievement for 3D Drawings In future, JT will be applied as a Standard Format JT enables Multi-CAD and CDMs for DMU. JT is fully integrated in TC JT is the central format internally and in the cooperation with Renault and Daimler JT is mainly used for 3D viewing and data translation for affiliates and supplier JT enables interoperability along product data from concept design to marketing and sales JT is integrated in PDM for styling, product development, manufacturing and service JT is used for visualisation internal.
