8 Acknowledgements My study of Aristotle s Posterior Analytics began as a doctoral dissertation, which I carried out under the supervision of Sabetai Unguru. Further, my understanding of Aristotle s logic has significantly changed as a result of my understanding of Greek mathematical texts; I owe this to Sabetai Unguru.
