7 Cathy Drew Celebrating the infinite ways Nature finds to enchant us! After a three day ice storm that kept us sequestered in our home, my Sweetie yelled upstairs, "Hey Babe, let's go sledding!" The world outside was absolutely silent, except the occasional sound of breaking branches. Before giggling and screaming the whole way down our hill, Johnny and his pup, Obi-Wan, were captivated by the sheer beauty of this winter wonderland. Celebrating my new life and the love that brought me here. ~Cathy Drew

8 John Hummel Celebrating cold foggy evenings There is something invigorating about being outdoors on a cold foggy evening. There is stillness that touches deep inside. It is a sort of reverence that this is a holy place. I sit quietly on the edge and contemplate the vastness of life, of this place, of our beautiful world. All is right with my world in this moment and I say a silent "Thank You" as the sun disappears into the darkness. ~John Hummel

That is what happened this night, and then it slowly filled the valley with fog too. It was quite an amazing sight to see in person. This is Mt. St. Helens under the Milky Way, and the glow on the horizon is the city lights from Portland, OR. ~ Kevin Russell

19 Connie Szabo Schmucker Celebrating Capturing Magic While on vacation in Tennessee, I had the magical experience of seeing a rare snow storm during peak fall color. I took this at Indian Boundary Lake in Cherokee National Forest. It is a unique view of fall and winter in the same place. It was so awesome being there in person. My hope that day was to capture an image that would reflect the magical scene in front of me to help me remember the experience and give others who see it a sense of what it was like to experience in person. ~Connie Szabo Schmucker
