1 5 Ways to Improve Your Readings By A reading is the art of receiving a message from Spirit and delivering that message to another Spirit here in the physical world. You as a conduit, receiver and messenger, a reading is where you transfer and translate information from the non-physical into the physical. Readings can be conducted in person, where you deliver messages from Spirit to people (Spirits in bodies) in real time or they can be conducted at a distance, where you receive messages from Spirit and then deliver those messages to the person who needs to receive them at a later date. Readings (or transfers of information) can be as casual as a conversation between friends or as formal as a sit down full on channelling session as a professional medium to a client who has paid for this devoted time and attention. If you are a medium, chances are, you are continually looking for ways to more clearly, confidently, and fluidly receive information from those in Spirit, in order to deliver better messages to those in the physical. Sometimes, receiving and delivering better messages is less about you as the conduit, and more about planning, strategy and forethought. There are things that you can do - outside of the in-action transfer of information space - that will improve what you get, how you get it and the way it s received. You can give better readings. Here s how:

2 Five Things You Can Do To Deliver Better Readings 1. Get More Information Tell the Spirits what you need Contrary to popular belief, a lot of Spirits are new to communication with the living. Being that many of those in Spirit whom we seek to communicate with are people, we have to remember that even in Spirit, everyone is at a different stage of soul growth - and Spirit Communication - while it does come naturally after it s re-learned - often even has to be re-learned by the Spirit who wishes to do the communicating. Many times when you seek to communicate with a Spirit, especially if this individual is a deceased person, it is their first time attempting communication with someone on Earth and they would fair better with instruction on what to do, how to do it and what exactly is expected of them. If you aren t getting anything when you sense someone present, help them out. Make a Step-by-Step list for those in Spirit explaining the information you need from them in identifying themselves. Do you want them to indicate their gender? Their age? Show you their appearance? How you prefer their messages to come? Do you prefer images? Words? Sensations? Each time you sit down to communicate with Spirit, pull out your list and go over it with them. Over time, as those in Spirit will get accustomed to what you need from them, you'll need to refer to your instruction sheet less and less.

Develop Confidence in Your Delivery Connect with the Spirits before it s time to deliver the information Every morning before a day full of readings, I spend about an hour tuning in with everyone who is going to be present that day. I call each Loved One, Angel or Spirit Guide present who is going to be communicating for the day and get a general consensus of who they are, what they look like and I ask them, what messages they plan to deliver. Sometimes, one of the most difficult parts of delivering a message as a medium, is that you don t know where it s going, when it s going. Not being sure where a Spirit is going with a string of images can lead to uncertainty, doubt and a lack of clarity or trust in what is being brought through. THese feelings, obviously, can impact and be carried through in the message. When you make some time to receive an overview from the Spirit World ahead of time, this can assist you in delivering more seamless and confident messages, in the heat of the moment. 3. Improve How the Message is Received Mentally plan out how you are going to say it and when. Speaking the truth, love and compassion that is embedded in a message from Spirit isn t all that easy to do. Besides, there s more to delivering messages than just blurting them out. Some truths are best delivered when the delivery has been planned, well thought out and considered before you deliver the message. Even if Spirit has clearly shown you the information, you, as a physical being, can help time the message s reception and phrasing so it s received by someone in the physical in the best way possible. If you have received a message from Spirit and you are worried about how you ll deliver this message to it s intended recipient - whether it be a client for that

4 afternoon or your mother - take some time, connect with your Guides and wait for guidance on the best way to deliver it before you do. For many, truth (especially the hard one) must be delivered in a certain way, in order for it to be received at all. 4. Keep It Clear and Centered Ask your Higher Self to step out (especially when reading for family and friends) When delivering messages from Spirit, it s easy to wonder, is just me...or is this genuine information from a Guide, Angel or Loved One? And when delivering messages to someone you know, it s even harder to separate what might be your own personal advice and what might be genuine guidance from the Divine. In order to make sure you remain clear conduit for messages from Spirit at all times, regardless of who you receive messages for, before you deliver a reading you can ask your Higher Self to step aside. If you are reading someone that you know, this is especially important, as your Higher Self, has likely known this person for lifetimes and has developed it s own opinion of what is in the highest and greatest good for said person. As a Spirit Channel, you want to assure that you remain free from judgement, bias about the situation and your own self concern in all cases. To do this, simply close your eyes and visualize your Higher Self stepping out of your body, and a stream of Divine Light from above, coming down and filling it s place. 5. Receive Your Own Messages Deliver messages for yourself on a regular basis Whetting the wheel. In order to keep your skills sharp, refined and clear, it s important to connect with Spirit and receive for yourself at least once a week.

5 Keeping your own connection clear to your personal Guides, Angels and Loved Ones will assure you stay on your own Divine path of development, help keep your intentions in check and help you connect to messages that you may be ignoring or avoiding hearing.
