6 Neale s Story Its been 12 years since Neale Donald Walsch fired off an angry letter to God and God wrote back. History has made prophets or heretics out of those who claimed intimacy with the Divine. Walsch avoided both by becoming an author and speaker. An auto accident broke his neck and nearly ended his life. He needed a year s rehab to learn to walk again. He had not one but four failed marriages. He lived on the streets homeless. His health declined. He was behind on his bills. He was collecting cans and bottles to return them for the deposit. He was literally at rock bottom!
