1 MARVELLOUS MOROCCO RETREAT 5 TH 11 th November 2017 Sarah & Silke will be your hosts for a YogaStretch week at Dar Moulouya, a beautiful private house situated in the verdant Ourika Valley with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and only 20 minutes from Marrakech.

2 THE RETREAT A gentle holistic approach to mind, body & soul which encompasses and blends new and old global concepts in yoga, movement and nutrition. You will be taken on a journey to expand and gain flexibility in your body and mind with easy techniques which you will then be able to continue and put into practice in your life. We will explore the importance hormones and how to balance your system with hormone yoga and nutrition. The classes are for all levels including complete beginners. We are really looking forward to being with you on the Mat in Morocco! The retreat is limited to 12 guests.

3 THE VENUE Dar Moulouya named after Morocco's most beautiful river is set in a large garden with bougainvillea, olive, pomegranate and banana trees, exotic birds and butterflies are drawn to this much loved garden. Within the fabulous open spaces is a fantastic pool. Designed in a typically Moorish Style, with 7 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. Peaceful spaces to relax.

5 EATING The villa chef de cuisine and her team only use locally sourced, organic produce from the Ourika Valley. Lavish breakfasts or rather brunches will be served each morning after a yoga or stretch session. Daily changes of typical Moroccan breakfast dishes with homemade bread, homemade jams, eggs, yoghurt, fruit, freshly squeezed juice, tea and coffee. November is the best harvest season for apples, quinces, walnuts and pomegranates and these are reflected in the daily menus. Options from Moroccan to Mediterranean to French influences will surface in the meals. Do let us know if you have any dietary restrictions so these may be supported throughout your stay. Smoothies and juices will keep you satiated until the next meal, there are unlimited healthy snack options of veggie sticks, olives, fruits, juices, nuts One evening we will eat in Marrakech either in a restaurant or on Jemaa el Fna for a barbeque depending on the dietary trend of the group. Another evening we will be hosted in a rural Berber village for a typical Berber dinner on another evening.

6 YOUR HOSTS SILKE & SARAH During many years living around the Indian Ocean as a scuba diving instructor I travelled to India where my yoga journey began. Yoga instantly become part of my life, combining diving and yoga as a daily practice when I lived in Africa, the Maldives and the Seychelles for several years. After becoming a Sivananda Yoga Teacher and Inspired Anusara Yoga Teacher I learnt many different relaxation techniques. Working with people and their bodies I became aware of the importance of fascia and I am also a FaYo Trainer(fascial yoga). With my varied and in depth experience I have developed a style which incorporates my knowledge to help release the body and mind from hormonal problems. I am also a Vital-Therapist, trained in Reiki, Matrix-Energy, Chakra-Balance and Spiritual Healing. Silke X My unconventional career has taken me from places as varied as New York and Mombasa. As a high end fashion milliner in NYC my designs were featured in top store windows and on the pages of Woman s Wear Daily. In Kenya I created a new brand Art Coco utilizing the locally abundant coconut fiber, which became a leading designer name in interior decor in Kenya. Throughout my creative professional career I have maintained a very keen interest in health and wellbeing with more than twenty years enjoying developing my yoga practice with teachers from Bali to Africa. I discovered Resistance Stretching which has given me an amazing new perspective on flexibility, strengthening and a sense of well being. I am a qualified Resistance Stretching Trainer having trained in the UK and USA and I am amongst only a handful trained in this field in the UK. I now love having the opportunity to teach this amazing practice internationally. Sarah X

8 LOGISTICS Marrakech-Menara Airport(RAK)is the nearest international airport. Please let us know your arrival times and we will confirm your group transfer time to the venue based upon arrival times. The last yoga session will be on the morning of the 11 th and departure after a relaxed last breakfast. A group transfer will be arranged so please let us know your departure time. If you are already staying in Marrakech or choosing to stay longer we can arrange a taxi to pick you up/ drop you off at your other location. 9 SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES IN MORE DETAIL Hidden Medina Tour The medina (old town) of Marrakech is a beguiling labyrinth of alleyways, souks (markets) and workshops where little has changed since the Middle Ages. Your guide will explain this ancient lifestyle and take you to meet a family in their home and enjoy a glass of mint tea with them. We will go through the beautiful alleys of the Medina, the colourful souks and the vibrant life that exists within it s ancient walls. Hammam And massage: Morocco is the land of hamamms, the steam baths & scrubs using black soap and salt will leave you feeling invigorated and detoxified. 2 massages are included during your retreat, a dedicated team will ensure you are kneaded from head to toe in the comfort of the villa as well as in a spa in the medina. Paradies de Safran The saffron farm is a real paradise for your eyes, senses, smells and peace. Experience a unique foot reflexology barefoot walk through the gardens. The feet are introduced to various surfaces (even more fun with closed eyes!) Working Farm Jnane Tihihit An opportunity to visit this unique working and sustainable farm and have lunch here.
