2 Introduction What are the Akashic Records? Why does Soul Clearing work? What is Real? My quest to answer these questions has taken up the last 18 years and is not over yet! I have come across many wonderful answers. Without fail, every time I found an answer, I found I had even more questions. The answers I have found often both shocked and humbled me, and will probably continue to do so. For me, this means I am asking the right questions for my journey in this lifetime. I hope what I share of my journey in The Akasha Papers sparks questions within you about this Mystery that is Life. Enjoy!

3 The Beginning I have been researching the great mystery of the Akashic Records for almost twenty years. This journey began with an initial reading of my own Akashic Record, a Soul Profile and Soul Clearing Reading. My reader, way back then, was Venessa Rahlston. Two years after that reading I learned to read the Records with her distance study program. At first, I thought that the Soul Profile and Soul Clearing information that I received was the total contents of the Akashic Records. I thought it was a very specific and limited information base because that was all my mind could handle at the time. As I lived and processed the personal effects of the initial Soul Profile and Clearing Reading, which included my immediate family, I believed I had experienced a miracle. I gained a new and deeper understanding of myself and my family. The information was foreign to me on a superficial level, and yet I knew it was absolutely true. The clearings dramatically transformed many aspects of our lives. And over time, I also learned that if I did not change the patterns of how I lived, I would attract difficulties that were similar to those that had been cleared. This simple reading, the Soul Profile and Clearing, is a doorway into the vast expanse of what we really are as human beings. It truly provides the message that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. I felt a powerful calling to do these readings, and the more I read and cleared for others, it seemed like the Akashic Records were expanding. More information opened to me. I was often filled with wonder, and I began to ask some deeper questions. First, if the Soul Clearing really worked the way it seemed to, I thought it had to

4 have some kind of Universal Truth within it, something that was far beyond the language of this soul reading system, which was very Christian. What was that Universal Truth? Searching for Universal Truth Studying Religion and Spirituality Raised Catholic, this Christian language made it very easy for me to understand the Soul Profile and Soul Clearing system. At the same time, I had been using the IChing for reflection and guidance for over twenty years. This is a tool of Wisdom and divination from the ancient Chinese culture. I realized I knew nothing about religion or spirituality as practiced throughout the world, throughout history, by people in other cultures. I was having a difficult time personally, and was looking into various ways to grow and to change my life. At a book club meeting a colleague mentioned that the seminary for The International Church of Ageless Wisdom was opening for a new group of students. This was a teaching church and not a religious institution with any religious services in any common sense of the word. I read the curriculum with the texts to be used. Here I found exactly what I was looking for: the study of the major world religions, lesser-known religions (some I had never heard of, like Zoroastrianism), Goddess spirituality (which until them I had avoided and knew little about), indigenous and shamanic spirituality (which I knew nothing about), spiritual healing (which included what I was doing with Soul Clearing), and the mystery of metaphysics. I could work at my own pace, as a distance learner, rather than as a student that had to sit in a classroom. The women who were already in this program spoke of incredible personal transformation and life altering experiences. I enrolled.

5 I learned about the underlying truth of all religions and spiritual traditions: that there is a unity, characterized by love that connects all that is. This is at the basis of every religion that has existed for people on Earth. Having been raised Catholic, I assumed I knew about Catholicism. Studying it as a subject, learning about it from outside of it, was fascinating. As a Catholic, I had learned nothing about Catholicism! Through the texts, I could see how this unity in a loving universe was true. The manmade structures that were constructed in the name of all these religions did just about everything possible to mask this truth, usually pitting one religion against another. Not only is all life essentially one life, all life lives! Nothing dies! This is the mystery. There is a continuous birth and re-birth. This resonated beautifully with the soul reading work, and with the Akashic Records. I spent five years in these studies, and I became a professional reader of the Records and also began teaching others. The head of this church, Roberta Herzog, was also a reader of the Akashic Records. Her ability to unify Christian and Jewish religions was spectacular. Her book, The Akashic Records, was published in I had several past life readings with her, sourced in my own Record. These were fascinating, and helped me understand much about my present life and relationships. This greatly expanded my comprehension of what was in these Records. Everything is in these Records everything that has ever happened, everything that is happening now, and the probable futures we can anticipate. The final class in the seminary was Spiritual Healing. One of the assigned texts, Spiritual Emergency, by Stan and Christina Grof, lit up my world. As early founders of Transpersonal Psychology, Dr. Grof and his wife challenged conventional Western psychology, with its labels for mental illness and pharmaceutical drugs for symptom

6 suppression. Most conditions labeled as mental illness had no physical causes yet they were treated as if they did. Through personal experiences and research, Dr. Grof believed that the definition of the human psyche needed to be greatly expanded, finding that many people were actually experiencing spiritual emergencies, something Western science denied. In Western science, as it still persists today, human beings have no souls. There is no spiritual dimension. We are physical bodies with minds, no souls. The book, Spiritual Emergency, described spiritual crises people were experiencing, and methods for supporting and assisting them through these times. People in spiritual crisis were not ill. They were experiencing something essential to their growth and development, and with the correct support, were able to move through the experience and become stronger and more fully integrated. Still Searching for Universal Truth Studying Consciousness and Transformation I knew that I had experienced spiritual emergencies. That is why I became involved with Soul Reading and Clearing. So I searched for the Grofs, and their Spiritual Emergency Network. This led me to The California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, where Dr. Grof was a professor in the Psychology Department. I enrolled in the graduate program for Transformative Studies at CIIS, where I was able to study current findings in consciousness studies, as well as bring my interests into my research. To say the least, academia is entrenched in the 17 th century Newtonian-Cartesian materialistic worldview. This worldview says that everything is separate, that human

7 consciousness is just an electrical byproduct of brain function. It claims that the human experience, the human psyche, begins at birth and ends at death. It claims that we live in a mechanical universe filled with dead matter there is no underlying intelligence, and the earth and stars are simply dead matter. Spirituality and religion are ridiculous superstitions made up to help people feel better. Evolution is a chance occurrence based on the survival of the fittest. What is fascinating, however, is that the instruments of science have become so powerful that they are now actually undoing these assumptions of science. The instruments of science are revealing a living, interconnected universe where everything is alive, where everything and everyone is an integral part of a great, living, unified field. This kind of information is slow to make it into the mainstream, yet it is happening. And I think it is an essential realization if we, as human beings, are going to continue as a species on this planet. Paradigm Shift In the 1960s, 22% of Americans stated that they had had an Akashic experience, defined as an experience where they felt at one with the universe, connected to all life, a divine, spiritual recognition of the true nature of the living universe. In 2009, that percentage had increased to 49%. Today, rather than a small handful of Akashic readers, one finds over 73,000 options when one does a Google search for this subject. Science itself is discovering the unified, living universe we are a part of. In 2012, we are involved in a major paradigm shift. The ideas of the past, of 17 th century science, are not holding up. In the following Akasha Papers, I will write about

8 what I have learned over the past years in this search for universal truth in the Akashic Record, the study of religion and spirituality, and the study of consciousness and cosmology, which of course, are all integrally related. Learn to read the Akashic Record and honor what you experience in this living dimension that contains all that ever has been, is happening now, and what is likely to happen in the future.
