7 The Mauryan Empire 324 BCE 183 BCE Asoka was the greatest ruler (regla): originally (originalmente) a blood-thirsty warlord (jefe militar), he became Buddhist (Budista) He divided kingdom into provinces (dividida en provincias reino) and tried to improve the lives of his people. He built roads, hospitals, schools, and temples to Buddha. (carreteras construidos, hospitales, escuelas y templos a Buda) He established (establecido) a prosperous kingdom (reino) that became a crossroads for trade (cruce de caminos para el comercio). He sent missionaries to China to spread Buddhism. (El budismo se extendió)
