January 2015 I ritually reach for and open Caryll Houselander s Reed of God, as I do every Advent. Seventy years after its 1944 publication, I am reading the same words I ve read the past 40 years, but the meaning is new. The material which God has found apt for it (knowing, loving and serving - the spiritual life) is human nature: blood, flesh, bone, salt, water, will, intellect. ~~~~~ Humanity - searching and finding our way, being and becoming out of silent source with primal thrust, anguishing and bloody - Gives birth to the living God within our World. Addiction Recovery - Our Deeper Longing This group is for people in recovery from addictive behavior. We work as we do in process groups but with the added consciousness of working with addictions. Using this content the individual is supported by the group and directed by Rose Ann to the next step in her/his process. There are process groups for women, men and couples. You are encouraged to attend these special programs. Most meet monthly, others twice a month, and Scripture Group meets weekly. They are facilitated by Rose Ann. Please see pages 8, 9, 10 & 11 for dates, times and cost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spiritual Direction for Individuals is available by appointment Monday through Saturday. This is a time of sacred conversation between the Director and Directee. Through listening and responding, the Director supports the Directee as she or he is seeking and moving through important stages of life. Retreat Day for Couples This six hour day is spent in reflection, sharing as a couple and in group, and closing with ritual. Couples must have attended at least one Couples Process Group before this retreat. Sunday, February 8, :00 am - 3:00 pm $65 per person Ash Wednesday Ritual Wednesday, February 18, :00-9:30 am Contemplative Retreat Preparation & practice for a contemplative way of life We begin with an introduction to the meaning and way of contemplation. We then spend the morning in silence and prayerful sharing as we open to the sacred in our lives. Sunday, April 26, :00 am - 1:00 pm $35 Men s Retreat Days A six hour day to discover and share our growth, to ask our questions and process the inner movement of our lives. Saturday, May 2 & Saturday, December 5, :00 am - 2:00 pm $65 Page Special Days & Retreats Consciousness - Presented by Sr. Bea Dorsey Today we live within an evolutionary worldview which some characterize as the process of conscious evolution - the world evolving toward greater consciousness. In our time together we will use the writings of Teilhard de Chardin to open new ways of understanding the relationship between Christianity and conscious evolution. Saturday, May 16, :30 am - 1:30 pm $55 The Enneagram The Enneagram is a personality system of nine types or patterns. Used well, it brings us to a self-knowledge that supports us in our relationship to ourselves and to others.
