6 An idiom is a figurative expression, word, or phrase that is common enough or used often enough in a language that the literal (real) meaning is no longer considered. A. 25 EXTENSION WORK - A. In plays we rely on directions for setting the scenes and for dramatic effect. How do the directions in the play help set the scene? Give examples from scene 4. This text usually includes details about their lives, how they passed away and details about funeral ceremonies or other important events after their death. Think about what you know about Scrooge and the times in which he lived. Imagine you are a young journalist writing for the local newspaper and have been given the task to write an obituary for Mr. Scrooge.
