1 Nashville First Church IYS Workshops SESSION 1 Workshop Options 10:15-11:15 # 1-1N Collaborative and Creative Worship This workshop will look at what it means to have a team concept when building a worship leadership structure that is multi-layered and faceted. It will also examine new technology that allows for worship arts leadership to function effectively and the effect the technology has in recruiting/keeping millennials in the worship loop. Furthermore, it will examine the need for creativity in the worship space and generate conversation on how to cultivate creativity amongst a Worship Arts leadership team and team members. Presenter: Randy Kinder is an ordained deacon in the church of the Nazarene, who serves as the Director of PR Music Groups and Director of New Student Financial Aid at Trevecca Nazarene University. Randy also serves on the Worship Arts Staff at Nashville Grace Church of the Nazarene. He has served in several churches as a Worship, Evangelism, and Administrative pastor over the last 20 years. Randy also serves the Southeast Region by co-directing the Camp Project which creates, produces, and executes the majority (8 of 10) of the Nazarene district youth camps across the southeast region. He is the executive producer and vocal music director of TNU. Randy is married to Dr. Kiersten Kinder and has a 5-year old, Samuel. # 1-2N Church and School Partnerships For ten years the Waverly Church has partnered with a local elementary school. The point of this approach is to allow the transforming life of Christ to be further embodied in the world - through us and those the Lord is seeking to reach through us. Presenter: Josh Wallace is the pastor of the Lawrenceburg Grace Church of the Nazarene where he and his family have served for the past four of their twelve ministerial years. Therefore, have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. # 1-6N Restore Survivors, Stop Oppression Rest Stop Ministries provides holistic, trauma-informed, survivor-centered restorative care to female sex trafficking survivors in a supportive long-term residential community of unconditional love and unwavering hope. Love heals. Hope heals. Jesus called this ministry into being; it is at the bullseye of His heart. This work belongs to the Church. It is Kingdom business.
