POTAG PAID on-profit Organization orth Platte, ebraska PRMIT O With cooler temperatures coming, the Library Committee has added several books along with some new authors to the Library. These new books will be featured in Fellowship Hall as they arrive. Here is a synopsis of some of our new arrivals: TH WAITIG In 1928, a 16-year-old Minka was on a picnic in the woods when she was assaulted and raped. And suddenly this innocent farm girl - who still thought the stork brought babies - was pregnant. The baby was born secretly, named Betty Jane, and given up for adoption. For decades Minka wrote letters trying to get news on her daughter, she kept loving and praying for her, even though she never believed they would meet again. Until nearly eighty years later, when Minka whispered her secret, impossible prayer for the first time: Lord, I'd like to see Betty Jane before I die. I promise I won't bother her or interrupt her life. I just want to lay eyes on her. Unbeknownst to Minka, that very same day, a judge was releasing the sealed adoption records to her 77-year old daughter. And soon Minka's phone would ring. Written by Cathy LaGrow, Minka's granddaughter, this story brings 3 generations of this most unusual family together over the course of a century to tell a story of faith that triumphs forgiveness that sets us free and love that never forgets. TH GRAY AD GUILTY A TH AKATCHWA AGA A 6-book series that begins back in 1878 in cotland. Written by Ruth Glover, she infuses her characters with the exhilaration, pride and grit that typified those who settled Canada's untamed Bush country. The girls' long trek from pampered society girl to penniless immigrant is as moving as it is entertaining. 1) Place Called Bliss; 2)With Love From Bliss; 3) Journey to Bliss; 4)easons of Bliss; 5) Bittersweet Bliss; 6) Back Roads to Bliss. After his wife's brutal murder in ew York, and Gage himself is beaten nearly to death, the crippled private investigator retreats three thousand miles to the quaint coastal town of Barnacle Bluffs, Oregon. He spends the next 5-years in an incandescent stupor, content to bide his time filling out crossword puzzles and trying to forget his wife's death is his fault. But all that changes when he discovers the body of a young woman washed up on the beach and his conscious draws him back into his old occupation - forcing him to confront demons of his own guilt before he can hope to solve the girl's murder.
