5 Heres something else really cool the gettiesberg address!!!!! Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
6 You know what I like to do? I like to type up ridiculously long and drawn-out bullet points and read them outloud to you word for word. Do you know why I do this? Well, I m gonna tell you. I do this because I m too lazy to spend any actual effort rehearsing or putting together my presentation. In fact, I didn t even type this. I just copied and pasted it from wikipedia. None of these are my own ideas, but that s okay, because powerpoint is fun!!! Believe it or not, I managed to get all the way up to a public office simply by using someone else s ideas. I sure hope no one finds out or they might sue the pants off of me. It doesn t really matter as no one s going to be interested in reading this entire slide. They re just going to sit there and be bored silly as I read to them word after word of this ridiculous thing. Or maybe I won t read to them at all. Maybe what I ll do instead is just sit there in my chair and let them take it all in. They love me and they want me to be happy, so I m sure that they ll be more than willing to read this ridiculously long paragraph. Handouts? What are those? Handouts are for weenies. So is practice. Practice is for unconfident loosers. I don t need to practice and I shurely don t need to edit anything that I type. My teacher won t mind, anyway, because I m pretty, and everybody knows that pretty people get the best grades in school.
